Liquid Tension Experiment - Universal Mind sublime sound

as I was listening to Liquid Tension Experiment's "Universal Mind" which btw is a great song, I thought i got an error in windows, but it turns out that in the song, Jordan is playing the piano interval you hear when you get a windows error! either that, or they got an error while recording, and thought it would be funny to not edit it out to see if anyone noticed, something I actually did cus I'm a nerd :p

anyways, listen for yourself, and see if you also can hear it! it's about 1:27 into the song.

wow thats quite an ear man, ive listed to that song many times and never noticed, lol. I even have that song on a WoW vid i made Surprised

Its on youtube i think lol Rudess is the kind of guy that would do that on purpose, just a little extra beneath the song, lol. Im thinking an error during recording and it just happened to fit perfectly. The album was made written/recorded very quickly if i remember correctly.

Definitely windows error message! As cbilljones said it just happens to fit perfectly! I wonder how many other recordings have got windows sounds in them? Laughing

The fact that they recorded it themselves also adds to the suspicion, let that be a lesson to stay off shady porn sites while recording Exclamation

The album ends with something like 25mins of improv playing - its more than most musicians will do in their career, these guys didnt even write it before recording lol

Firstly, a f**kin quality album. Not windows, but if I could remember what song it is a similar thing happens in a Tool song.
The improv thing, I went to see The Mars Volta in Leeds just before Christmas and they had some quality extended improvised bridges. Also, King crimson were hugely experimental with all that. Check 'em out if you don't already know them.

i think that the song 'under the bridge' by the red hot chilli peppers has a windows sound in it at 1:50, or at least the version i have does.
i looked for it on youtube but it seems like the music video recording is slightly different from the studio recording and no-one seems to have posted anything other than the vid.

have a listen to the album version (if you have it) and post back if you hear it.

So your thinking of windows 3.1 i assume? you do know that song is from 91 right? Good song, but i doubt there would be a windows sound in it Wink

hmmm, spose. i'm thinking that it may have even been a mispicked string that they just left in there. its really hard to tell. again, if anybody has the song give it a listen at 1:50
