meh, it's more of a difference in genre, freeman is more likely to do drama while jackson is more likely to do action/exploitation kind of stuff.

I can't decide Because they are both excellent actors and I agree with C_F about the different Genre classes they play in |

they're both kind of one dimensional. but they each have had shining moments. jackson=The long kiss goodnight, fresh, white sands Morgan Freeman= Shawshank Redemption, Unforgiven, Glory. Why not compare some method actors? People who really immerse themselves into a role. Like Christian Bale in the machinist, or Gary Oldman in Dracula/True Romance/Fifth Element/Immortal Beloved. Yeah I could go on all day about him. Here's one - Bruce Willis or Bruce Campbell? |

Don't know how this topic lead to that statement, but I have to agree.

Both are great actors.
IF I need to choose I would go for Mr. Freeman.
He brings me a little more goosebumps moments than Samuel.
But I wanna see a good movie with Morgan Freeman, Samuel L. Jackson AND Denzel Washington ... hell yeah
Don't care what genre, if they agree to do such a movie it'll be an instant classic.
Something like Heat would be great!
They are the bad apples and kill the good ol' boys ... White guys like John Malkovich, Bruce Willis and Will Smith ... hehehe ...

Agreed!
Of the two actors (and genres), I'm more likely to watch a movie with Samuel L Jackson in it than one with Morgan Freeman. Both are excellent actors, however. |

"There's a passage I got memorized. Ezekiel 25:17. The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you. I been sayin' that sh*t for years. And if you ever heard it, it meant your ass. I never really questioned what it meant. I thought it was just a cold-blooded thing to say to a motherf***** before you popped a cap in his ass. But I saw some sh*t this mornin' made me think twice. Now I'm thinkin': it could mean you're the evil man. And I'm the righteous man. And Mr. 9mm here, he's the shepherd protecting my righteous ass in the valley of darkness. Or it could be you're the righteous man and I'm the shepherd and it's the world that's evil and selfish. I'd like that. But that sh*t ain't the truth. The truth is you're the weak. And I'm the tyranny of evil men. But I'm tryin', Ringo. I'm tryin' real hard to be a shepherd.
"Yeah, Zeus! As in, father of Apollo? Mt. Olympus? Don't f*** with me or I'll shove a lightning bolt up your ass? Zeus! You got a problem with that?' "
"Say "what" again. SAY "WHAT" AGAIN! I dare you, I double dare you, motherf*****! Say "what" one more goddamn time!"
"See you're assuming I won't shoot your sorry ass, and everyone knows when you make an assumption, you make an ass out of you and umption."
I'm a "Fan" of SL Jackson.
I've a jules MF face on a t-shirt.
Watched all his movies twice each, even snakes on the plane.
And I've that badd MF custom made wallet.
