I do like that design bweh_registration . Nice work. I suppose an exception could be made for the hash. A lot of people do need it.

We all acknowledged what you said. We just think that it would be better on the front page and it's not clutter, it's vital information. You're getting frustrated over something that is not a big deal. I think the layout suggested was awesome and as for 1 line containing a hash check, it's important to me to be there. That was just my opinion.

Maybe you don't use the hash check but for most that download before comments are available this is the foolproof way to know you are getting quality torrents. Don't take it personal, we all have different ideas on wht we think is important. All input is good.

Yes we could all just use a proxy to bypass this, but IH is trying to make it so we can have the same enjoyment we have always had while maintaining a new guideline. Change is inevitable and the better it is, the more likely US users will stay here.

Well said Jenga.

HEAT88 , no need to increase your blood pressure, mate, over whether the hash is one click or two clicks, it's important like, but not enough to cause heart attacks, what.

Thanks. I do think the HASH code should be there, but in 'my' design I've hidden it as a link. Click the link (" hash "), and it takes you to the Google search for that HASH.

I can image it working differently, though. Perhaps if you click it, it turns into an 'input' textfield with the hash code selected by default? Then you could 'click', 'Ctrl-C', and then use it. Click outside the box, and it turns into the 'hash' link again.

But personally, I think a link to Google is good enough. That's what most people will do with it anyway (or am I mistaken??)

Thanks for your useful suggestions. We'll use some of them in the next update.
cool beans
lots of re-designs and modifications being made to IH lite, and i must say: 'i love it'
being "stuck" in the US and forced to use IH lite (unless one uses a proxie (which i do not) ) - it is great to see the effort being put forth by the IT specialist(s) behind the scenes making IH #1

IE6/7 bugs are fixed, and common complaint with dead links is addressed. The title in search results link to the original site which may be down or changed, but the Cached link is the same as the Download .torrent link on regular isoHunt before. Many of you don't seem to realize that, so we made changes to make that cached link more obvious. See http://isohunt.com/lite/#q=ubuntu for an example of the cached links I'm talking about.

True that we have disabled comments in Lite for legal reason, but ratings (with thumbs up, down) are still displayed, and it is factored in in the combined torrent search ranking, which includes seeds/leechers, ratings, search relevance and age. Many of you complain about missing sort and that is really uncalled for, the combined ranking is better in most cases especially with more spam trackers misreporting seeds/leechers stats. This ranking again is the same default ranking used on regular isoHunt which you come to love.

Sort by age for newest torrents is a valid feature missing and if you want this, we'll work on adding sort option for that.

So, if you don't like Lite, tell us why so we can improve it. Complaining that "it sucks" doesn't help. Nobody likes change but sometimes it's necessary, so help us change it for the better with constructive criticism.

New (04/14): Sorting options & table-like attributes formating now on Lite, as you requested
New (04/16): Search suggestions doubling as spell check, bug fixes

Hope I'm not stating the obvious or repeating anyone, but what is being done about one of the intrusive "adverts" that pops up informing you of "viruses" in your computer and makes it look like it's checking for them and won't go away until you leave isohunt? It itself is an advirus.

I'd like to thank the Administrators for doing what they can to keep Isohunt alive. I remember what happened with NAPSTER, but I never used it. But I would hate to see Isohunt have to start charging people to download torrents just to apease the MPAA.

Since the major problems I have had have been addressed, I have no real problems with Lite. The only problem I have is what happens when you change pages. You can only go to the next page at the bottom of each page, but when you change pages you also end up at the bottom of the next page. Since the only place to go to the next search page is also at the bottom, you have to scroll up to the top and then back to the bottom.

You need to either fix the search function so that when you change pages you go to the top of the new page or provide a way to go to a new page on the top also.

isoHunt lite is 100% terrible. It's like a good version of the worst search engine ever made, aka crap.

Was referring to isoHunt lite, btw & if you were forced to use it, you'd agree & would definitely leave isoHunt for something better.
