Is the WoW Really That Good?

It is a little known fact on this site but I use to play wow. I played for 3 years of my life. I got really into it in the first year I spent in the marine corps. It was a great way to get away from the corps. In fact the name Izahealyou is my old toons name. A lvl 70 troll priest. I was one of the best healers on the server. Was saught after by all the best guilds and went to every raid instance know to exist at the time. I even have a tattoo of a horde flag on my arm.

Why then did I quit? A few reasons... One was I was headed to Iraq and I didn't want withdraws so I quit 6 months prior to Iraq. Another would be that I found that blizzards focus started to target kids more then anything else. Another was my realization that my social life was non existant and my work started to show the lack of sleep from playing too much.

In the end I figured the game while fun is no longer a challenge to me. Xpacs are released too much and too fast. It has been requested by those I use to play with that I should return and help out them. I decline those everytime.

I find the money lost did keep me out of trouble but would prob trade it back anytime.

lol, You will get there. It's alot more fun once you get to 80.

i dont even play it.. it looks like a waste of time to me judging by the users that come here and the vids i see on youtube

Its a fun game in my opinion, all games are technically a waste of time.

I don't think so. TBC (The Burning Crusade) was back in the days and WOTLK (Wrath of The Lich King) was a bit good but now leveling got so easy people are trolling much much more they can't stand 1 single wipe before they say "OMG L2P NOOB" and then kicks you.

As i post really late, WoW used to be a good game.
But now it is more like shit then good, also when pandaren comes why not just add pokemons...

I rlly like wOW , theres been a lot of other mmos i tried swtor , i tried RIFT but Wow is like the coke , u now like a good prostitute that u will never going to get tired of playing with , grinding is great, dungeons, u meet ppl , its awsome.

i've always had an urge to play, but felt if i do i might get addicted and ... well, let's just say for me it might just be the end of the world... of Warcraft. Laughing

the trailers they have are Awesome and i collected a few, but what really gets me hooked is the music that comes with it. heard they're making a film too. know it's somehow based on one of the books, but the one of characters have been changed. what is really stopping me is the price tag they've got for actually playing it. it's okay if you have the right credit card, but how long until that burns out. i guess free mmorpgs are my thing.

Great game but it take time, lots and lots of time my wife told me its WOW or her I've not living with her now, but I still play WOW Confused

Its not the worst game in the world but it's looking pretty stale these days and that play style just feels massively dated. Not to mention I hate subscriptions. Guild Wars 2 has it beat in most areas and most importantly the only thing you pay for is the game itself.
