Death at a funeral 2007 ( the 'made in England' version) a very funny, very understated , and inexpensive little film with big laughs through-out. defo worth checking it out if you looking for an easy to watch comedy.
Thanks WhiteViper - the lost battalion, sound like something id enjoy - il check it out Cheers |
Ninjad, that would've been my next post, I've seen the new remake, and it leaves a lot to be desired. Not even Chris Rock, Martin Lawrence and a bunch of others including Peter Dinklage (from the original), and the gorgeous Zoe Saldana could make this a genuinely funny movie. It is dire. Gimme the 2007 one anyday |

The Explorers... featuring a young River Pheonix and Ethan Hawke
Enemy Mine... with Dennis Quaid and Louis Gossett Jnr
The Last Starfigter...
Battle Beyond The Stars... featuring, Richard Thomas (out of his comfort zone from The Waltons), George Peppard, Robert Vaughn, an enticing Sybil Danning, and an unforgettable if somewhat laughable spaceship.

Elephant by Gus Van Sant was pretty decent. And also, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. |

Lmao, the irony of it is, this is probably his best role yet, I agree Erulin. I can't believe I picked it up for a fiver at my local Tesco. Ya know if us publicos didnt get so ripped off by the retail system, we'd be
less
likely to upload/download them. Note I said
less
not unlikely.
Anyway, Punch Drunk Love seemed to be vastly overlooked...

Sorry iamnephilim, but you asked for it :
Hehe, I just could not resist
But on Topic.... basically "any" of the old Hammer Horror Dracula movies with Christopher Lee in them. I mean I seen tons and tons of horror, from implied horror to extremely grousome stuff but those Hammer Horror's to this day... man, if I watch one even now at age 42 I just 'know' I'll have nightmares for a few days. |
