- You can use boolean operators (-, |, OR), wildcards (*, ?), and phrase search (") in your query
- For BitTorrent: Paste in a 40 characters info_hash, to search for that particular torrent and get all trackers for it

I am running as administrator, but trying that didn't work so the files must be corrupt. Sort of upsetting but oh well... I guess that happens.
Thanks for the help. |

Normaly I dont dl any rar files because of the huge virus risk but I saw a program that allows you to play rar movie files without extracting them.
I wonder it would protect you from a virus or not? IDK but I think I will stick to what I know to be safe. |

Hi folks, I've tried searching for my problem but this seems to be the most relevant thread.
So I downloaded Kick Ass the other day, and its split into lots of smaller files such as "r30" etc etc. It also had a CD1 and CD2 folder, which I assume is the first half and second half of the film.
When I extract the lowest "r30" file from CD1 folder, how do I join it with the video thats extracted from the CD2 folder?
Thanks in advance. |

You shouldn't be getting viruses
from
extracting .rar files.
It's what's inside them.
You should be able to, using sites like IsoHunt's comments, NFOs, knowledge of overall groups to download from, and things like general authenticity of how the file looks, be able to decide for yourself if a file is trustworthy or not.
Furthermore, just in case, you should have a general antivirus that checks your un-rared files.
All this is aside from the point though. If you're on a mac a problem called VLCRarLoader will load the files into VLC from the RAR. If you're on the PC XBMC works, it's a whole media center though, not a specific, sorry. There area couple other Windows workarounds that use batches, etc. Most of them aren't quite ready for primetime though. |
