I think that good posters make things interesting. Doesnt necessarily have to be intelligent, just interesting.

Ps. djdezzie nice to see Yoda back.

Agreed a poster doesn't need to be intelligent. But it depends on the context and where you are posting.
Some people get into bother as they sometimes post in the forum what should be in the comment, and vice versa.

For example..

Making a long well thought out post about a current event is fine in the forum as it exists for discussion. Thats the point of a forum most of the time.
However doing the same in the comments will get you nuked for spamming irrelevant posts.

A good post can still be spam if its in the wrong place.

Definitely. I hate bad manners. Look in the Requests forum to see just how much...

There could be a reference to Dolph Lungdren daily. In every post. And reference to his acting school. You know, the one he must have gone to. I'll research that........

Someone banging on about something even if they are wrong. Who cares as long as it genuinely does not offend. Go for it Smile Have your say, have your freedom of opinion, have your freedom of speech. Be nice, play fair. Dont take any poo...

I have the most respect for those posters who are not just articulate in expressing themselves but also have the ability to gracefully accept it, when they are wrong.

I also have a fondness for those with a quirky sense of humour.

A quirky sense of humour goes down a treat, and why a lot of us get on well (either that or we have good tolerence of most users lol). A quirky sense of tumour isn't quite as appreciated tho

What do I base a good poster on?

A wall [of text].

>commonsense

You must hate me then Laughing

But seriously, my Gurren Lagann poster sits nicely on my wall. And I write massive tl;drs. To quote myself, I'm a literary vegan, I toss only the finest word salads (which has all kinds of gay vibes).

Not at all. I for one may not agree with all of your thoughts musings and on occasion riverlike meanderings through the soul mind and concepts of reality mankind and our places within it. But to say that your posts do not give me occasion to think and consider would be a lie. So the crux of the biscuit (to borrow from Zappa) is good posts.

Out of respect for mrywe I felt that his post was an excellent reply to the question.
It pretty much sums it up and so I have locked it. The poll I will leave alone as it is good to have these last words from one of our valued members reappear on occasion.
