regarding signature size, can it be related to total pixels

is there a given max pixel size for signatures. ive seen thats theres a 1mb limit but im wondering how to relate that to actual size.
can it be determined in total pixels. or max pixel width and height.

has to be 150 pixels in height and not so long that it breaks page rank (ie. causes users to have to scroll).

In relation to the 1mb size and the pixel width, the only way a 150 pixel high sig will be more than 1mb is if you make an overly animated one or use an actual photo that you took with a digital camera and dont resize it for the web properly (like you can do that in photoshop)

150 pixels high is about 1.56 inches on the flat screen

could the width be 575 pixels = 6 inches

it would be animated but not an actual picture
