All registered parties are shown. the first 4 are in order of seats they currently have and the rest in more-or-less order of importance (cause green and lower have no seats, and aren't likely to get any). The poll ends on may 2nd (election day)

Personally I'll probably be voting Conservative 'cause NDP and Lib both have said they will hike the GST back up by 2%; and i hate paying sales tax; also Stephen Harper was the one who lowered it.

Ignatieff is a douche bag who favors American politics and policies.. and does not answer questions directed by the media what the people want ot know... where as Layton answered right away

Duceppe only interest is for the good of Quebec and does not care for Canada as a whole

Layton is a tell it as it is type of guy..to the point and supports workers and unions.. also the perfect one to represent the average Canadian.. to bad he is with the NDP as they will never get elected

Harper has done a good job in trying to run a busted parliament and thus he should win as he has my vote as well

as for the rest of the parties.. they are well considered a joke and a wasted vote by all who would vote for them

Another waste of OUR money. Waste of OUR time. Who in the Hell are they kidding. We will just end up with the same bullshit we have now. A Minority Gov. and it'll all be the same with no work done and all those Laws that should have either been amended or passed.

Pisses Me Off. OH! I'll vote alright, because it's our duty and I won't blame myself for not having a say but, I still say it's waste of OUR money.

I just wish that there could be an election that didn't degrade into petty name calling.

any politician that wants to spend money on more prisons and treat marijuana like its heroin, should get a grip and do something about this :
yet another criminal with a badge
as well as the way that it just gets covered up and excuses are made. the criminals in parliament should be eliminated also.
EDIT resized annoying size link Razz

Well it's easy for me to say "i'm definitely not voting for Harper" but that still leaves me with 2 a$$holes, and the one I've got smells bad enough.

I've never been at such a loss on who to vote for in Canada. Which is why I've decided to get involved in my local politics. I'm 31 and tired of sitting on the sidelines bitching about everything that is wrong. I also urge everyone reading this thread to do the same. Find out who you like in your area and go volunteer. Don't do it for the money though lest you end up like the power hungry pigs we have now.

On that note I'm probably voting Layton (NDP)...he's just the one that's pissed me off the least.

(side note: I miss Jean Chritien)

Dear Prime Minister,

Let’s put the seniors in jail and the criminals in a nursing home.
This way the seniors would have access to showers, hobbies and
walks. They’d receive unlimited free prescriptions, dental and
medical treatment, wheel chairs etc and they’d receive money
instead of paying it out. They would have constant video
monitoring, so they could be helped instantly if they fell, or needed assistance.

Bedding would be washed twice a week, and all clothing would be
ironed and returned to them. A guard would check on them every 20 minutes and bring their meals and snacks to their cell.

They would have family visits in a suite built for that
purpose. They would have access to a library, weight room, spiritual counselling, pool and education.

Simple clothing, shoes, slippers, PJ’s and legal aid would be
free, on request.. Private, secure rooms for all, with an exercise
outdoor yard, with gardens. Each senior could have a PC a TV radio
and daily phone calls. Plus they wouldn’t have to pay a dime.

There would be a board of directors to hear complaints, and the
guards would have a code of conduct that would be strictly
adhered to.

The “criminals” would get cold food, be left all alone and
unsupervised. Lights off at 8pm, and showers once a week. Live in a tiny room and pay $3000.00 per month and have no hope of ever getting out.

Justice for all we say.

Naw, this can't be here in "Canada"! You must be from another country. We don't give That much importance to our detainees.

OH! they just got their HD Cable canceled LOL! Now, that must've hurt.
Do the crime and profit from the time.

Ok, I laughed when I saw that picture. If there are any curious non-Canadians (Americans, probably) reading this thread, let me tell you that this picture isn't far from the truth. Of course for the more informed voters, the election is a little more complicated, but if you paid only cursory attention the recent "campaigns" we've seen in Canada, the simply boil down to the content in this picture. Sometimes it boils down to "he's a liar!" vs. "he's an American!".

Politics is the same the world over, lies, lies and some more lies just incase you missed the first load of lies we mentioned when we lied about stamping out lieing from our agendas.

We have a minority goverment at the moment in the U.K, so we now have two parties in power taking it in turns to lie, whilst the other thinks up lies to cover up previous lies told around election time.

Can you imagine if all the lies stopped? "we will raise fuel duty and we will raise income tax, (unless your rich), also we are comitted to cutting funding across the country pretend we have no money yet find £2 million so a local private school can have better out doors equipment because thats more important than the 10 thousand police being laid off this year"

Incase your wondering all of the above was the work of the great british cabinet, but they left that out of their manifesto.

maybe they just forgot? yea lets go with that.
