Have just been through the process of creating a new torrent and submitting.
I then decided to upload it at Demonoid.
I now have a text file that needs to be added to the torrent.
Couldsomeone shed some light for me please.
Cheers |

Changing a torrent in any way basically means restarting from step 1 of the process. |

CF - So does that mean that I need to delete something somewhere first? |

you have to make the torrent again but include the file you want to add... you cannot delete torrents here you have to ask a mod to do it |

Demomoid have their own tracker aswell so when you upload there be sure to add the Demonoid file and the tracker. The tracker also changes every couple of months so make sure you use the right one ! Add the Demonoid tracker to the list of trackers you PM'd me and when you upload just check it's the same as the one listed on the Demonoid upload page. |

comment your first torrent as "missing files original poster requests delete, and some sort of mod thing should clean it up, eventually but in the meanwhile people will know its not what you wanted it to be, then start over with a new one (like they said) and be sure you put in everything you want to include |

they have to actually PM a mod,and with a link is best.while a mod can see all comments in real time, someone would have to be looking for that at that that time otherwise. |

The torrent would be linked from outside of isoHunt. Mods do not have the ability to modify or delete torrents uploaded especially to another site. Besides any file changes, will change the #hash checks. Your only chance is to delete it from Demoniod, as the uploader you have that option that you can do yourself.
We can only delete .torrent files uploaded to isoHunt. |

If you have already uploaded the torrent you can simply create a new torrent after adding the Demonoid file and tracker, you will then have two torrents showing in your uTorrent but that won't double the torrent size, if the upload was 800mb it will still be 800mb but with two seperate torrents linked to it. |

Think I will need to redo things yet again, but this time will leave the existing torrent as there are people in the middle of downloading and seeding.
Will have to delete what I created at Demonoid though, as after having a thorough read of their 'creating a utorrent' I realised a couple of things, which could be why it is not showing up there on their site.
a) I put more than one tracker in the original torrent file, their tracker details were added to the bottom of the list I put;
b) I just saw that I had needed to have ticked the Private Torrent field as well as the 'Start Seeding' field.
Kinda wished I hadn't thought 'what a good idea, I will upload elsewhere as well'.
Nextupload, maybe.
No wonder some people do this the once but never to repeat it.
Well, now that I know better, I will do better.
Thanks for all your feedback guys. |
