But Han Solo and Amy Winehouse don't even compare.

The media always go for sensationalism, btw even if Amy had been one of the unlucky people killed in the Norway bombings, she would probably still have gotten more coverage than all the other people there.
Everything is so backward these days. Trivial crap gets the headlines and people are all fired up about whatever and real news and horror stories get relegated to page 4 & 5 and no one cares.

What about an Amy and Han Solo table, together encased in plastic, sold at all reputable retail outlets. Entitled 'May the Gear be with you' for $299 without tax.

Yeah, but I'd rather just take the Han Solo and leave amy, might save $10. Course if you didn't care about how you made the money you could always mine all the crack out of her body and sell it.

Seriously though, while she wasn't some poor, innocent saint, she was still a human. Everybody is precious as far as life worth goes in my opinion, even though not everybody is likeable.

its sad when anyone dies.
i have no sympathy for amy at all, what a waste when you had the world at your feet.
my heart however goes out to her family, she is now putting them through hell because of her recklessness and disregard for all the help that was given to her.

So pedophiles, rapists, murderers, kidnappers, fathers who commit incest and father children to their children (the case in Austria springs to mind) are these people's lives precious too? If we say their lives are precious, what does it say for the victims? Their lives are destroyed forever, the perpetrators feel no remorse for the pain they inflicted.
As Amy has been in the news many a time for drugs, she supported the dealers who make many peoples lives miserable. And yes without the demand there is no supply and the reverse is true too, just goes to show how broken people are.

Well, to be totally honest, it didn't surprise me at all. Everyone who knew her, as in 'from the tabloids', knew that this was gonna happen sooner or later.

But what really disturbs me is that a famous addict who dies from the addiction gets more attention from the media then the 90+ innocent dead young people in Norway. I just can't grasp that one. Shocked

Concerning the attack in Norway: the responsible people should get the one dollar sentence: dead by bullet. Would save us alot of tax money and alot of unnecessary heartaches in court for the people who will have to face the murderer(s) of their loved ones for months.

Just my honest opinion.

"Amy Winehouse may have died at 27 like Kurt Cobain and Jimi Hendrix but its important
we remember lots of other singers died at other ages such as 21 and 50".
Thank you CNN, how informative. Laughing

You got the right idea Opelkoenjas with the one dollar sentence.

1: Shocked She was only in her 20s..? I thought she was 60 years old or something. She looked it.

2: Laughing Anyone else noticed how "Amy Winehouse" is now in the Top Searches on Isohunt, #15 as I look at it now. Death does great things for your career Rolling Eyes

3: Sad I do feel sorry for her family though - although I wonder if they feel sorry at all..?

Why should they feel sorry they did nothing wrong her own dad knew it was going to end bad some day.
You cannot always blame the parents if your kid turns out this way allot of people are saying its was her ex's fault because he was the one that introduced her to drugs at the end of the day it was her choice she could of said no..She could of went on to take drugs anyway lots of people do try drugs..Lots of singers are into this crap or have been but not in the way she was..

Would not take long to dl Amy Winehouse Discography lol
