I'd say the crashes depend more on your hardware, like i said in the other thread i hardly had any crashes.

As long as you are on the PC you won't run out of stuff to do cos there is mods (^_^)

tattoos, proper beards, facial scars are in, they are revamping that whole system to make it look more natural so you'll be well catered for there.

I do like the idea of alignment though I doubt we'll see that, NPC's will react differently to you if you choose to be a wood elf as opposed to an orc but its just an attitude adjustment, it won't effect the actual gameplay that much i wouldn't think.

The psychic guards have been mostly fixed i think, they still need some level of ability to know you've been up to no good or else it takes all the fun out of being bad :p I mean for region based crimes if you've got a bounty and they see you you should be arrested wherever you are but getting the bounty in the first place should be harder. I know what you mean though it would be good if there was a place where crimes didn't count (like the theives den DLC) Personally i would really like to see the no selling stolen goods to honest merchants crap thrown out as well, how the hell is a merchant in one town suppose to know i stole a sword from another???

not sure if anyone else experienced this but when I was in the forest killing trolls and a guard came up to help and while swinging my sword with wild abandon I clobbered the guard a couple of times and he decided to turn on me. this inevitably resulted in his stupid arse being pwnd and me with a 5000 dollar bounty because the moron couldn't stay on his damn horse. Happily there is talk of an anti friendly fire option that should resolve these situations.

1. Crash-less Gameplay. Please, PLEASE Bethseda would you work on optimizing the code of skyrim so we won't have any of the immersion breaking crashing. Alright, I don't expect NO crashes but at least to the point where I don't have to worry about it.

Yes, this was very annoying... you'd finally find you're way out of a cave, and then it wouldn't load "outside". However, I think it's more due to the sheer size of the game and the impatience of the modern gamer (i.e. button bashing if it freezes slightly! Admit it... we're all guilty! Laughing

nuruodo wrote:
2. Option to create your own guild. How awesome would it be to create and manage your own guild? Imagine the possibilities.

You kind of had that with the Nights of Nine add-on... but I agree, that would be cool

nuruodo wrote:
3. Unlimited quests. When I say unlimited I mean something along the lines of daggerfall, like the kill this or kill this many quests, fetch this quests, ect. I don't mean to replace the guild quests, just to have generic quests to make sure that you never run out of quests to do.
I have a feeling that could get boring after a while and simply take up more size of the game, resulting in more lags. Don't forget, each character has dialogue, a schedule and people they frequently talk too... creating enough extras just for killing quests could be a hassle.

nuruodo wrote:
4.Smuggling quests. I know I'm not the only one who wants to become a smuggler.

YES... God-damnit YES! With the ability to set up your own business too maybe? To sell the products and to take precautions to evade the guards but find customers.

nuruodo wrote:
5. Alignment. I want something like knights of the old republic where your actions would influence others opinions about you as well as modifiying your appearance and facial features, angry scowl, ect.

Agreed, similar to fable.

nuruodo wrote:
6. Tattoos. Who wouldn't want tattoos, kind of like in fable where tattoos would modify others reaction to to you. Maybe include magic tattoos as well.

Again, yes. If you can change clothes then why not ink? I would also like to see more "civilian" clothes.

nuruodo wrote:
7. Hair changers. It would have to be kept lore friendly of course(no mullets) but I think that it would be neat for elder scrolls to implement this.

Same as above...

nuruodo wrote:
8. No more psychic guards. I think this pretty much explains itself. No more "I just hit a guard and now every guard in tamriel somehow knows what I did". and no more of that "guards can detect crimes from 1000 feet away from where they are.

The guard are annoying in that aspect, but a GTA style approach would benefit here... where if you hide out, your wanted level drops and so does your bounty.

nuruodo wrote:
9. Sensible leveled enemies. Seriously, what the hell is the point of leveling up at all if every single enemy will level up with you. Perhaps caping it off based on the enemy would be sensible(rats stop at level 5 while bandits would stop at 35). No more of that bandits wear daedric items thing as well. If they can afford daedric items, then why the hell are they petty bandits?

I have often wondered this... maybe they stole the items though? As for the levelling up, yeh it's kind of pointless if everything levels up with you.

nuruodo wrote:
10. Region based crimes. Just because your wanted in one city doesn't mean it should carry over to EVERY city.

Depends on the crime/ time frame... maybe over a couple of days word could spread about your thieving, murdering, raping ways?

nuruodo wrote:
12. Guild services. Wouldn't it be neat to buy certain services from other guilds, like hiring a bodyguard from the fighters guild, or hiring the thieves guild to steal an item, or perhaps to have someone killed like from the dark brotherhood. Include option to teach spells or skills to lower ranking memebers
.
I think you can do that once you get to be Master of the fighters guild... you definitley can on Knights of Nine and Shivering Isles. Maybe open it up to the other ranks for a cost. The add-on with the dark brotherhood sanctuary, you have an assassin you can tell to go out and murder and with the thieves guild add-on you can get your pirates to pillage... so it's kinda already been done.

nuruodo wrote:
13. Enemies that follow you through doors. Never made sense that bandits and such don't know how to open a door.

Yeh, I did wonder the use of a bandit/thief who couldn't comprehend a door... I think that's just AI being stubborn though.

nuruodo wrote:
14. Source based lighting. They did better with oblivion, but there should be lighting that is based on certain sources, like torches, moon, ect, and not magically illuminated paths and buildings. I know I asked myself when looking at certain spots in oblivion that if there aren't any torches, then why is it so bright? This would add more incentive to actually USE the torches and spells you have.

Very true, I have never used a torch in Oblivion.

nuruodo wrote:
15 Weather and lighting based sneaking. I think that it would make sense for the player to gain bonuses, or penalties based on weather and light sources.

nuruodo wrote:
18. Skills, attributes and food affect players physique. Eating too much food would increase PCs weight while attributes and skills would affect physique.(or lack there-of)

YES! If they have food in a game, then there should be the requirement to HAVE to eat at times. Maybe your character could be weaker/ no strength if they haven't eaten? Increasing your stength should also make you more muscly... like in fable.

I think I'd like to see the ability to start up a family, hence making use of all the spare rooms in some houses! Maybe even be able to rent out houses when you're not using them for gold? Then you can steal off them for giggles! Laughing

I think Bethesda and Lionhead (Fable creators) need to get together and combine the best elements of both games. The free roaming feel of ES with the normal day-to-day element of Fable (Jobs, Family, Personalities, Liking/Disliking the character)

Yes, although hardware does play a factor in the CTDs and oblivion seems to be better with it than every other elder scrolls games goes, I'm talking about their track record of sloppy coding and scripting. Every elder scrolls game I've played which goes from arena to morrowind to a tad bit of oblivion have issues with stability.

And as for basic infinite quests, perhaps it would be boring but it be LESS boring than completely running out of quests entirely now wouldn't it? It wouldn't have an impact on fps either because what I'm talking about is extremely simple, I'd basically quest like kill x amount of respawnable enemies and collect gold or bring me item. It wouldn't need any constant scripts so there wouldn't be any impact on fps in that regard. And as for size, considering the simplicity in the quests it wouldn't be any size worth worrying about. There's a mod for morrowind that accomplishes exactly what I'm talking about in about 130 kbs of data. If your curious, play daggerfall for a week or so and see what I mean about never ending quests. It's pretty good how they accomplish this.

As for the whole crime system thing goes, you wouldn't want it to be as simple as just waiting it out. Because seriously, if someone went on a rampage in the city you wouldn't bloody well forget them now would you? Perhaps with to a limited degree though, it wouldn't do for crimes like murder. You wouldn't want things to get simplified in the elder scrolls games, it kills immersion and fun when it gets to easy. That's the major flaw of the fable games in my opinion.

Eh, there's no way in hell that there's THAT many daedric items all over the place. Remember morrowind? It was f'in HARD to find a complete daedric set of armor without out killing a major character. Not to mention it seriously ruins the balance of the game by having s*** loads of expensive loot. Plus it destroys the games economy system.

As great as Lionhead and Betheseda I think it's best that they are separate game companies. Lionhead favors catering to "non-gamers" making things too easy while Betheseda is kind of the opposite. Though it'd be cool if they took inspiration from each other.

20. Necromancy. Yes, yes, YES! I must have an official necromancy system/faction/spells/skill.

21. Daggerfall-ish crime features. Remember daggerfall where when you were taken custody for a crime you were brought before a counsel and you could plead guilty/not guilty and based on your speech skills could possibly get away with a crime or if your caught INCREASE your punishment if your caught lying. While telling the truth would decrease your punishment, just less potential than with lying. In daggerfall you could also get banned from whatever city you committed the crime in.

Been getting connection problems so I'll wrap it up for the night.

Niiiice. Seeing that cliff makes me want a climbing skill even more.

22. Moveable furniture. How about letting us move the furniture to however we want it? The neurotic among us will thank you betheseda.

23. Picking up furniture. If you can steal items, then why not the large candlesticks, chests, ect. You could set a minimum strength requirement for certain items

24. Extensive daedra summoning. Yeah you could talk with and complete quests with daedra lords, but how about adding more depth to the whole thing. Allow a lot more quests from each of the daedra lords and have a daedra rivalry system where doing certain quests for some daedra lords would end up with losing favor with other daedra lords.

25. Item/armor/weapon/clothes creation. It'd be neat to smith and craft your own items. You could cut down trees for wood for campfires.

26. Create your own clothing slots in CK. This would cut out the need to bind certain items to a limited selection of clothes slots.

Jxy, I really love the idea of having Lionhead and Bethesda getting together to create a game. I think it would have to be something new, not part of the Elder Scrolls or Fable franchises, but a completely new game.

I agree with the majority of those ideas of Nuruodo's most definitely.

I love the options and choices in the Fable games, the range of seemingly unimportant stuff - sex, marriage, kids, buying multiple houses/shops and even how your decisions can impact the way a city looks (Fable 2 Old Bowerstone, depends on who you give the warrants to at the very start).

But Oblivion is better with the length of the game, the range of quests, major and side, available and the level up system is far more advanced than Fable which makes it a bit more difficult but far more enjoyable when just trying to level up outside of basic quests.

Definitely a mix of the best of both games, in gameplay not storyline, would be an amazing game that every Elder Scrolls and Fable lover would drool for. It would also get a lot more sales for them in the older games, those fable fans who haven't tried ES would then have a go at Es and vice versa.

It's a pity you two don't work for Bethesda and/or Lionhead Very Happy

In the past 24 hours... I think I've spent about 15 of them on Skyrim. My eyes hurt! I had very high hopes for this game, so high that I thought it could actually be a disappointment. To put it simply, it's not. I love this game.

Yes I did get confused about where the hell I was on the new map, yes I did try and kill a giant within a few minutes of exiting the caves (prelude thing) and got smacked into orbit for my troubles and also wondered what kind of person would catch a butterfly and eat it (unless you're argonian!). But these things make the game better, there are some things you simply cannot do yet (like killing giants and mammoths) as opposed to the oblivion system of you can kill everything and everything can kill you. I once got killed by a fecking RAT!

Unfortunately, I have no life now... luckily I'm currently unemployed so I don't have much to do Very Happy

I want to get killed by a giant and see someone eat a butterfly Sad
