help with extracting Final Fantasy XII cut scenes from disk

I know the game Final Fantasy XII is a few years old but I'm trying to rip the cut scenes from the game disc. I found a program that got the FMV but I want the cut scenes as well. A posting on this site stated that a program called Final Fantasy XII Movie 1-36 Complete rar torrent would do it but apparently I'm a couple years too late to download it. If anyone can help me, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks for the tip but none of those programs would work on a ps2 disc. The youtube videos when downloaded were in such poor condition that they were hard to view. I went back to that forum spot (Final Fantasy XII Movie 1-36 Complete rar) and read again thinking I did something wrong since I'm new to all this. I downloaded Vuze (I used a different program the first time) and followed the directions. Vuze couldn't download it and it says "seeds 0 of 0", "Peers 0 of 1". If anyone can tell me what I'm doing wrong (besides trying to download a program posted about 5 years ago), or what I need to do different. That program was exactually what I'm looking for - rip the cut scenes in addition to the FMV. If anyone has something else that will do the same thing, I'm open to suggestions.

Thats not a program thats the cut scenes, if you get it/got it you need to read this to open it

vuze is bloat but it wouldn't matter what client you use.the 0 seeds is telling you it's a dead file and you will not be able to download it.it being so old that you are extremely unlikey to ever run across someone who still has it to even seed.

If you want to rip from the game disc does that mean you have the game and want the vid files??
Excuse me if its a daft question but if you have the disk and you have played the game then you can view each of the vids at your leisure on your console or PC?? if so then just use a video capture application and then use a simple application to join them together as a seamless but chaptered movie file and create your own dvd.

johnno23 - Yes I have the disc and yes I've played the game. RIpping gives a better picture quality then copying as I play it over again and it took me many weeks to get to the end. When I came across the copy on this site, I thought it was a program to rip the rest of the videos. I have a program that ripped the FMV movie parts.
trollster - I went to that link and read it all, downloaded WinRaR. It couldn't open it. It might be old, but there is something there. Properties say 31.4 kb. It downloaded as a vuze download but vuze couldn't open it. I think I'm doing something wrong or the file is Corrupted, I don't know which. I've never done anything like this before.

Does WinRaR open torrent file?

I appreciate all the sugestions and help.

if you could actually download the file winrar would open it unless it's passworded.but like i already said you won't download it because there are no seeds.

all you downloaded is the .torrent,here are some definitions

Iamnephilim - I'm sorry to be so dense but I think I understand now. What I have is basically the description of what the file was, the text part, not the actual file. My game is a ps2, any suggestion on accessing the rest of the video files?

in order for p2p to work a file needs seeds to download.that one has none so you won't get it.

Any ideas on how I may rip the rest of the cut scenes? Where to find a program to rip them from my ps2 disc? I know it's possible, unfortunatly every time I find a link to a program that can do it, the link no longer exists. I was lucky to find one that ripped the FMVs, but that is only part of the storyline of the game.

cinvowell no worries on being dense.... hahaha we were all dense until someone helped us out.
you get a little rep from me for two reasons.

too many barge in and get knickers in a twist if their issue is not solved immediately.

Would a complete .iso file help at all??? A file that has already been ripped from the disc.

Actually you make a good point, if you can find an iso of the file and extract it with winrar (right click on it and open with winrar, you need winrar first of course) you may be able to get the scenes you want that way.
