djvu to pdf ??

Stanza doesn't work for iOS 5 .. too bad for me..

It's the only free reader supporting djvu file format..

I have 11 (searchable text) djvu files that need converting to pdf to be read on iBooks..

Any easy & productive programs out there that would do the job?

Printing the files through a pdf printer takes forever.. I tried already.

Stanza was purchased by Amazon a while back and as it is a direct competitor to their own kindle app it does not look like they will ever bother upgrading. Last upgrade for Stanza was in february.
Calibre is a great free tool for converting ebook formats and can be useful and many people discuss ShuBook as being the next best thing.

I suppose it comes down to buy the competition and then just leave it alone as it will die a slow and natural death if it is never updated. This way the competition to their proprietary software remains safe.

I did read that if you uninstall Stanza and then reinstall it does help somewhat. Maybe enough to access files saved by Stanza so that they can be converted and not lost. Alternatively I would suggest downgrading to ios 4 recover all your books and convert to a pdf and then reinstall ios 5.

Calibre doesn't support converting DJVU to my knowledge.. (error: no suitable source format was found)
Downgrading to iOS 4 requires saved SHSH files.. I would have done that already in order to jailbreak my iPad2, but my bro upgraded without my knowledge Sad

And then you can use the pdf output to feed into calibre if you need to convert it some more in the future. If its just pdf you need though, DJView convertor is your best bet. Good luck Smile
