Tablet anyday of the week.
Kindles are just book readers, Tablets offer so much more when you've finished reading. |

Hmm I don't know much about the Kindle, I am presuming it is purpose built for ebooks ? I guess it comes down to how many features you want and how much you're prepared to pay. If you're just using it to like read on a train then kindle may be the go. I am thinking tablets offer more versatility, if that is what you desire. All my ebooks are stored on my laptop, I do have a tablet but rarely use it, tablet is cool for gaming |

Then when your bored, go catch some birds, get some elastic and go to your local farm to annoy the pigs |

Depends. If you
strictly
just want to read ebooks get a Kindle. They are the best at what they do. However if you want more I would say invest in a tablet. You can get them quite cheap these days so its not going to hurt your wallet as much as you think. Plus having read Deathly Hallows on my Xoom (800+ pages) I can confirm that they don't cause any eye strain or unwanted problems. |

Thought I had a voucher for £100 off a tablet, it came with a blu ray. After checking 73 blu ray cases I found the voucher ............ it's £100 off an ASUS Gaming Notebook, I was nearly helpful ! |

iOS and Andriod both have the KOBO app, and the KOBO device is an eBook reader so i assume at least those tablets would be compatible with most types of eBooks. |

What he said^^ plus, the kindle can increase/decrease text styles/sizes to adjust to individual comfort levels |
