Salam aleikum my brothers.
I live in Sweden and have not been able to use isohunt for two months.
Seems like one of our major ISP:s is having a beef with Cogent,
so it´s either that or they (Telia) is blocking isohunt.
However, after some extensive googleing I found the marvellous
anonymizer tool called TOR. And now it works like a charm.
And it´s pretty fast too,
Higly recommended, especially if you use Firefox since it has an extension called Tor-button which will allow you to turn the service on and off in a very convenient way.

I'm having troubles connecting to isohunt from Finland. It could be caused by my computer or my connection alone since I can access isohunt from my friends place who has the same ISP. Weird o.o |

Already posted about this on the Wiki page, but since this is where the action is...
I live in the UK. For the last few months, I have been unable to connect to Isohunt at all using AOL Desktop, but a recent attempt to connect via IE worked fine (and that's how I've been accessing it since). The trick? Differerent browsers, but the same computer and AOL connection... |

I live in Dubai. Yes, since few months ago isohunt and other major torrent related sites are blocked!!! Crap Etisalat!!! Even flickr also got blocked.
Exception to IT related offices in Dubai Internet City complex, like my office, there's no filter at all.
Earlier social sites like facebook, myspace, etc got blocked but since people are protesting through newspaper/radio they unblocked some. FYI, 90% Dubai residents are expats where 30% of it from EU/US so you can imagine.

Theres a way to get around that little Trap Wall,,, i need to get my TechFriends Community on it soon AS |

Since couple of months, Du (the "other" one telecom provider in Dubai) has been starting to block sites as well. I remember one time I open an underground site in office (Dubai Internet City, which was believed they don't block anything) and I was really surprised to see similar message "this site is blocked" from Du.
And I got new finding. If I open isohunt's forum directly (isohunt.com/forum), it's NOT blocked. But if I open isohunt's torrent search (isohunt.com/torrents) it's blocked. I guess they're probably using KEYWORD blocking mechanism ("torrent"), not IP address or domain. |

As an update to the original question asked by IH I thought I would add a little up to date info.
regular www address works but Https:// works faster for some reason.
Access from Dubai is easy and have been using open networks along with fixed line n the hotel.
Using the iphone to reply to plenty of messages but with iphone i find i have to use https otherwise i lose the connection. This is common in open wifi access areas as coffee bars etc.
Been here since the 8th of november and not once had an issue. |

Overhere, TPB got blocked.
But after only a few hours, they already had found a LEGAL workaround.
If Isohunt would enter the list of forbidden sites, I'm darn sure a solution will be found within hours too. |
