Pressing the tilde key or even Shift plus ~ didn't work for me, maybe it's because I'm in the UK and have a different set-up for my keyboard but the pic. below shows the key I used to type the codes in, so if anyone else has trouble try the same key.

OH SHYT!! sorry didn't check this post for a while um i noticed looking at your keyboard layout that your tilde key is actually your hash key if your not sure what your hash key is its next to your enter key it looks like this # very strange that your keyboard layout is different to us :/ sorry mate i didn't even realize i hope this helps Very Happy

yeah other countries may have some differences,i didn't think of it til after posted the pic.i believe german keyboards would be ^ they just need to use whatever key is to the left of 1.

Edit: FYI you only have to use the last 4 digits of the item code for the add items command it's just like the other games in the series.
