Jack the Giant Killer
- basically a jack and the beanstalk movie. I cringed when first heard about it but def will be worth a look i think, especially given Bryan Singer is directing.

Ghost Rider 2
- another trailer. I actually enjoyed the first one, despite nic cage in it But think the 2nd one may be drivel.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJv2Wno1cA4
GI Joe 2
- i remember turning off the first one half way through it. Watched it again fully recently though and was okay i guess. Maybe the 2nd one ill manage to watch on first try.

Beneath the Darkness
- this looks similar to 'Disturbia' which i quite liked. Certainly not original but interesting to see Dennis Quaid in a baddie type role.

Rock of Ages
- i was interested in this initially as i was thinking along the lines of 'Almost Famous', which is a classic movie! But this looks more like 'Chicago' to be honest. Personally dont like musicals, but for anyone that does this may be one to look out for.

EDIT:
The Dark Knight Rises
- full official trailer is out - looks good

Well, how interesting Thatcher's life can be?
Thatcher already declared that she's not gonna watch the movie.
Critics blamed the film of not showing how her politics affected the people.
I smell oscar nomination for Meryl Streep.

Resident Evil : Retribution
- trailer out, although cant say have ever bothered watching any of these more than once, if that. Might have to rewatch and give them another go.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgdaOM1esz0
Project X
- the title of this is very misleading lol. I think this could be great though! Comedy from director of 'old school' and 'the hangover'. Seems to be very much along those lines again too. Looking forward to this

Brake
- think 'Buried', except with a guy in the boot of a car instead of buried in a coffin. Sigh. Doubt i will even bother watching this.

Dark Shadows.
Up Side: WOOHOO! They're making a movie out of this day-time soap. it's a good thing for Depp seeing how he used to watch it when he was younger. I have been recently watching the soap with my bro and it is certainly weird enough to keep you interested. Johnathon Frid, who starred as the original Barnabas Collins is said to feature in this film which is an up as well. I'm also curious to see the other supernatural characters to feature in this film as they did in the series.
Down Side: woohoo, Johnny Depp, Helen Bonham Carter and Tim Burton. who knew . There's something about recycled characters that rubs me the wrong way. No offense the aforementioned actors, but they have these preconceived associations when acting in the same film together after so many films it gets too old. I'd like for Mr Burton to spice up the cast every once in a while.
I would recommend to those of you who might go and see this film to watch the TV series, not unless you feel it might ruin the story for you. For me I'd like to make comparisons between the two. True the TV series is dated, but it is still a worthy watch. I'll be keeping a close eye on the upcoming film. |
