I just checked with Auto Hide IP software program this software just gives you another IP for browsing does not work in utorrent...So I pick France as my location went into that site and its says I downloaded loads of stuff .. Yet you cannot get this software Auto Hide IP to work with bittorrent clients !

i checked out that prog (autohideIP) and i think its a smegma-ware of some sort. theres a connection helper process that shows up, in task manager, that seems to be a lot like conduit, and what you guys are reporting suggests you could get a bad rap from a used IP.

could it be a social engineering thing? just how many letters to ISPs concerning copyrighted materials are not from copyright holders but are PHishing from some haxer shacx full of goons from khazakstan?
i have the WebOfTrust add on and that things is a vote from web visitors, needless to say that site is very poor rep, but there is an alternate explanation.
perhaps Twisted Evil the page shows you the information that you already have, but dont know how to look for. noone else is seeing what you see, everyone is getting a custom experience depending on what the search script, that your machine initiates, ends up barfing out on the page just like the HTML code that shows your IP to you to spoof you into thinking the poster of a message somehow knows your IP.
we know how to spot fakes lets...

Laughing learn how to spot spoofs Laughing

It's nothing really special.. that website should not make you paranoid with it or without it they can look at your IPs..

I think its just some random thing.. LORD! GARTH! you cannot configure that autohideIP software to work with a bittorrent client..Even if its a used proxy why is it saying I downloaded loads from the France location when no one can use it with a bittorrent client ?

As a bittorrent client I just meant any bittorrent client in general Wink

what im tryimg to say is its spoofing you into thinking they know your IP and they are showing it to any visitor. when actually they are displaying whatever visitor that go there, thier own IP, by getting their own machine to cough it up into the web page. the list of downloaded files is at best a statistical guess and some GREPing around for what you most likely have downloaded.
its a prank spoof page, similar to the HTML code that dezzie and others posted to display your ip to you and spoof you into thinking there was a magic way of your peers finding your IP Laughing
(not cuttin dez BTW)

+1 on bazzer for the laughs Laughing
also id recommend DO NOT GO TO FACEBOOK..to have your ip removed
this is how exactly how a PHishing/Pharming scenario rolls out.
...if i was going to H**CK FB accounts i would read the NIC buffer when victim returned from facebook to check if it worked then have thier login

Well maybe its doing that for some people. But my mate it showed some of the files he downloaded. Kids movies for his kids, and also a copy of dreamweaver he downloaded. Seems pretty specific to me LG.

It aint hard to do either. I seed a program, take note of any ip's that connect to me and store in a DB against said download. Then if someone connects to your website, you check their address against your DB with list of ip address' and publish the results for that address. On a much bigger scale of course. Its only really an excercise they have said is to highlight the privacy issues with bittorrent. I think its a good thing really. My mate for one has now started using peerblock Very Happy

I know what you mean bazzer but how is some meant to connect with the proxy in autohideIP through utorrent when they cannot be configured together ?
