maybe not.. I found out the Mobo model: MSI MCP73. Found the latest BIOS from MSI website:

I'll get ahold of my cousin in the AM and post back the results. In the meantime, I'll be praying that the 150$ spent on this card will not be spent in vain.

If the mobo BIOS update didn't work then go for this mobo : ?G41MT-S2PT s775

no dice on the bios upgrade, came back saying that it wasn't compatible with the version of windows he's using. So definitely going to get a new mobo.
That's a good list too Devilz, we'll be using that as a reference guide cuz that's a good source.
