actually, i reckon they probably sell more of the thin or medium sort, so charge more for the thick to make their margin better on producing it? |

Sheldon obviously buys an unsliced loaf and disects it into equal sized portions and dabs each tiny morsel into butter before devouring, then washes his fingers with an alcohol free rub, drying - then moves onto the next tiny morsel ............ |

When im in Australia i get normal thin sliced bread from the shops for like 1 buck a loaf, just like trollster.
But when im in the states I only buy tortilla wraps or bread rolls because I hate the taste of sliced bread there. Tastes like it is filled with extra sugar and is too sweet for my liking. |

We get the Bargain $1 loaf at our place too.
My biggest problem is that if you don't keep it in the fridge/freezer it starts going moldy in 2 days, sometimes even sooner. |

Same here, thick sliced is more costly than thin or medium. Yah, now reading this I'd like a sammie too - here we can them sandwiches. Go figure...never noticed any sand in 'em. Much prefer the home baked bread and I have no aversion to cutting it. Rather like it actually 'cause then, depending on the mood and the application, I can decide what I'd like. I do like my options...oh and of course, white bread for me! |
