we used to have recycle bins in our neighborhood [placed by some green neighbors, but people became lazy after a few months and it was abandoned. like a year later the gov't placed proper recycle bins just outside a cemetery [like anyone would pollute there] close to where we live. |

Recycling is not that hard if your country has the infrastructure to support it and provide it as a free service to its citizens |

i remember once going out of my way to take a Styrofoam box that held some paint cans and a leaking bicycle light to the local recycle bins. got black paint all over my trousers. really tough stains that still can't be removed. was it worth it? yup. would i do it again? sure, those trousers were worn out to begin with. |

Our recycling used to be split into plastic and glass tins and paper etc now we just shove everything into one bin, I'm sure the council are not seperating it but just incinerating the lot.
The Uk is one of the better places fro recycling but when you compare our total rubbish output compared to countries like the Us our efforts are like spit in an ocean. |

Living in China recycling is a living for many people.
I place my useless waste in a bin bag but everything else, plastic styrofoam tin cans empty bottles plastic or glass go into cardboard boxes or plastic bags next to the bin.
People come round twice a day and check. Some collect the plastic other the cardboard and yet others styrofoam etc. nothing is left and eveything is taken to specialized recycling plants and collection depots where the collectors earn money. |

I recycle as much as possible due to my garbage pick-up now only happening 2 times per month instead of weekly and I can only put out 2 bags each time.... They want me to do household waste as well but since I live in the country its not overly fesible due to cats, racoons, skunks, deer, bears all wanting to munch on my leftovers so the bin they forced me to buy has been broken which I am allowed to buy a replacement for a lower price but by the time I purchase the paper liners (mandantory) it just costs way to much... I composte it instead for my gardens.
I do purchasee the lawn and leaf paper bags to fill and dispose of for the ones I can't burn due to weather or fire bans.....
I bring my metal stuff to the recycle centre for $$$ as the city dump does that so the $ is better in my pocket than theirs... |

I recycle. I also don't litter. If I did, it'd be kind of hypocritical to recycle. I mean, we don't have the technology to move to another planet yet so we should keep Earth clean. |
