computer stupid i need some help please

a couple downloads have no sound and i see the word codec in some comments but i dont know what it is or how to get it so this problem stops please if someone could explain this to me in anything other than computer talk it would be greatly appreciated...thanks..

since you are asking about codecs i'm guessing you have never installed any.go to this link and download and install this package

you will have audio and the package comes with a good player MPC that together with the package will play most anything.if you prefer they will play in WMP also after installing the package but with less options as WMP doesn't really have any.

you should also get this player,it comes with it's own codecs and will not conflict with the CCCP package.

you shouldn't need any other codecs for nearly anything you'd download.between the two downloads you will be covered should one not have what you need the other will.
