Ok I love The Office I gotta admit, its very hard to decide which version I like but its probably the US version. The reason? because I think the character development is much better with all the office members, everyone has their own role and makes a funny contribution, its more well rounded and very humorous and light hearted, its not embarrassing but more outrightly funny.
The UK version is much more stinging and realistic than the US version, Brent is more of a real person than Scott for me but ultimately the UK version is MUCH more embarrassing than the US. Its still funny but not as boldly or loud as the US Office. The UK Office with brent is very embarrassing and cringe worthy LOL even after afew viewings it still makes me blush in certain sequences
I prefer the US Office as its more of a comedy than the strong satire of the UK version, but thats what makes the UK version superior I guess, British satire of a fawlty towers standard but the US version is alittle easier to take

UK Version, its brilliant. US version is dry and stale in comparison - and the first seasons basically copy the UK but lack the chemistry. For the record im Canadian and was a fan before the US version was around. |

No way man, US version is way better, was a massive fan of the UK version and to be honest was very wary of the US version when it first came out but was proved very wrong thankfully. |

Lol UK Office is far superior in wit and the reason why its so embarressing is because it is the satirical take on everyones boss...Like everything these days it was made in uk for a reason (our sense of humour) although carell is great !!!

English office is far better, but like already said we would think that. The American version is not funny at all, to me anyway, and i love steve carell, but i bet Americans love it. we have a different sense of humor i think. i loved the American version of wilfred far more than the Australian original though so some adaptations work |

UK Branch 63%
US Branch 36%
ppl in the US have trouble thinking outside the US, I'd be surprised if anyone else in neither of the countries actually like the US version |

Don't mean to stamp all over your post but it is a little short sighted.
many Americans with enough wit to get on the nets are pretty open minded people and judge things for their worth.
To think that americans will simply reply USA version because they are american is I think a little insulting to their intelligence. |

The Office UK finished years ago, making this thread redundant. |
