ICE CUBE as a movie star

Spacebitch is absolutely right in 'Stick to what you're good at'!

Some of, let's say, singers think that their artistic skill can be proven also in acting, but I beileve thet mostly they are wrong... best example is maybe not Ice Qb but take a look at Britney... and 'Crossroads' ... omfg that sucked so much....

Bout some singers are really good in movies, my personal best is Madonna... and in some point Cher. I kinda liked Whitney (Bodyguard)too, but mostly for her voice... not acting.

dude ya examples leave a lot to be desired, Madonna and Cher as good actors? That's like saying William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy can sing

Not all musicians make bad actors though. Look at 2pac, Will Smith, Eminem, Common, Mos Def and Jamie Foxx.

Will Smith was good in Independence Day and I Am Legend...but his music kinda sucked ( Nightmare on my street Laughing

) and Mos Def cracked me up in Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy and I do like alot of his stuff but he really does better in a colaberation then on his own.

You need to watch 'Belly' if you havent already. Its got Nas, DMX and Method Man in it. And they all put in a good performance.

I think 2pac in 'Juice' was the best acting performance from a rapper. Bishop is CRAAAAZY!!

2 pac was ok in Gang Related too, very good movie if you have not seen it. Jamie Fox was insane funny in Booty Call..so yeah I guess some ppl have that gift to get in front of a million ppl and preform on Q.

you might think low of me, but i really like Ice T as an actor. made a real impression on me when he started with Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

i also liked 2pac Shakur in Poetic Justice and Juice, two films i'd recommend.

I dunno why it's such a stretch for some people to imagine rappers as actors, many musicians have made the transition not just rappers. Many of them learn the trade thru their videos etc.
