yeah, but the difference between WW2 and here there isn't going to be massive bloodshed. as for Megaporn, i found it hard to download their stuff without the help from Hotspot Shield cos pornography is blocked by my country's filter. so when you guys were worried over the possibility of internet censorship, it's already happening here. Laughing

it might seem bad, but in this case i like the filter cos it stops us from watching that sh*t day in day out. heck i had trouble in school cos the students were looking at it on their phones Rolling Eyes

. it certainly has shortened my viewings by half.

As for bloodshed you don't get blood out of stones and getting blood from corrupt elected officials I would have to ask.....do they have any real blood coursing thru their veins. The tend to appear reptilian in my minds eye, always basking in the sun of the media and running to a dark corner if caught with their fingers in the cookie jar.

the recent events with megaupload are alarming but the brash claims of 500 million are going to need real and concrete proof in a court. Even a court in USA. The whole thing could well be settled out of court merely to minimise fallout.
If cases are brought to court where sums as 500 million are the discussion then lawyers for defence are going to have a field day.
I also consider that smart defence lawyers are going to dig up facts about how P2P which has been proven to stimulate the overall markets will be brought back into the limelight. Then the CR holders in court have to prove that such arguments are irrelevant....which i think is a tough cookie to sell when and if the facts are open for all to see.

I just think that the way numbers are thrown about by the CR holders to be unsubstantiated. Its guesswork. Like guessing every movie downloaded is a lost cinema ticket. Basically not realistic.
That mega broke enough rules to sink themselves is one thing. People being taken and processed other than the country in which they reside is something else.
Should the 500 million be an exaggeration to justify such action i think that this will be of concern and why i think it may well be settled out of court.
Many sites in the past have been bullied into submission and settled and even individuals but the stench of corruption is hard to remove now that it is so clear in the minds of the public.
Mr Dotcom is bad and may well suffer but for many people the actions being taken by CR holders and their manner in which to force compliance is also bad.
I cannot know the outcome but I certainly see and hear arguments that the means do not justify the ends. In this respect the CR holders have lost even more respect. (not that they had a lot from many people in the first place)
I also applaud the work of anonymous and think they did the right thing by their actions with just one exception. You leave family and kids out of the equation. That may have cost anonymous some respect from people that could well have been swayed to their way of thinking.

Here is a link tazzz to a different but in my mind even more frightful concept. What if the very 00000's and 11111's get copyrighted. well maybe not copyrighted but by law it looks like they are pushing to have the sequencing or the very action of duplication outlawed.

this is scary. i know several sites/forums that use these websites to host links to downloadable OSTs to video games, anime, film, and TV. with the fall of Megaupload it seems like file sharing is gonna be hard for those looking for direct links to their fave stuff. but in the end we shall prevail. i'm optimistic that Megaupload will return in the future, and so will others.

it used to be groeing ..eed could quickly make you a multi millionaire, in a year or two, and thats not so common anymore, now if you set up a site and build the assests properly , same thing you can become a multimillionaire. I think the problem is that money produces power and influence, and there is a big boys club that you have to meet and greet with, so they know what camp your in and make you aware of how not to upset the applecart. Its like when a bunch of people are playing cards at a casino table and you just walk up and start playing hands, then they freak out and cash in and go to another table, because they are all working as a team against the house, for a split of the winnings, and an outsider that doesnt know or care what the plan is, will screw things up, or at least dilute shares. I think thats what happened to kimdotcom..

Every now and then i used to use xbmc & (watched films through icefilms) Some rare films which i couldnt get through torrenting, & icefilms used megaupload!!! & working peoples taxes are funding these pathetic terrorist like raids... W*nkers!!!!!!!!!!!! Twisted Evil

I wonder if the Apple corp. will get involve in this. They came out with the Apple TV boxes and the reason for the sales was because of XBMC wich uses Megaupload. Now that Megaupload is shut down, their sales are going to drop dramatically. It would by nice to see a big company fighting for the people for a change.
