Hello everyone,
I don't know how you guys and gals think about "Terra Nova" but I loved it. I thought it was different from other shows and that is what I'm looking for, I'm sick of the same shows over and over with different names. From what I hear they might not be bringing it back for a second second, which would break my heart. The thing I like most is the idea of the show, I think that would be awsome if we could go back for a second chance.
So what do you think of Terra Nova and have you heard anything about if there bring it back for a second season???
Poll question edited. Love the entusiasm but no need for Anglo saxon expletives. we are open to 13 year olds. Even if they know the words already no need to shove it in their faces. thanks. Johnno23

Well, I haven't seen the show but it seems to be a trademark of these channels to do away with the decent shows and keep showing trash that brings in the moolah. |

they have begun production and will be filming to aim to have it ready for around september this year i believe |
Thats sweet news. Loved the 1st series.
It would make sense to run a 2nd series, the actors are firmly embedded, the set is still 'up' (in Aus) and the ending of the 1st paved the way for a second.
Stephen Lang's character Nathaniel 'i was in Avatar' Taylor reminded me so much of one of my old C/O's, a guy that would only stomp you if you'd done wrong and always gave a second chance (or many more in my case lol)
Looking forward to a second series |

I think that is its strongest attribute. For many groups there is a character for people to identify with. I just worry the cheesiness aspect may become only too heavy if they do a Bermuda triangle spin on it after finding bits of old ships in the sector that the bad boys went a running at the end of the 1st season. |

The last strands of hope for a second season of Terra Nova are gone, and the show has headed off to the television graveyard for good, it seems. It had looked that way ever since Fox opted not to make a second run of the show itself, but an olive branch of sorts had been held out, with Netflix believed to be looking at the show, with a similar model to its revival of Arrested Development in mind (whereby new episodes would premiere via online streaming).
However, Netflix has now passed on the chance to revive the show, and with it, hope of Terra Nova season two goes with it. The firm was interested in making more episodes, but it seems as though various issues beyond just the price made a deal impossible. |
Now if they ditch the stupid show about bikers in a small country town, I watched it once and they shot half the population of the midwest in the first 10 minutes and no one seems to care, then cancel CSI, CSI Miami, CSI New York Law and Order wherever city its in now and then 99% of every other show on telly and come up with new ideas and not just another drama plot based around zombies, space ships or disgruntled Doctors, or a Comedy that is not a comedy (comedy by definition is meant to funny) ditch reality TV including idiots who can't cook, can't dance or can't sing, despite what the name of the show alludes, then maybe realize remaking 80 cheesy shows into movies is not the way forward, then remove their logos from the tv screen which at the current rate of infringement and size will soon take up half the telly from the center out, then maybe someone tell the BBC to stop making Police shows, and maybe telly Aussie companies to give up all together maybe then I might watch my very big and very expensive wii and kid movie telly again for something other than the evening news.
Oh and ffs get rid of American late night talk shows |

All the CSI shows are tedious, they seem to arrest everybody but the culprit until a vital piece of evidencs is suddenly uncovered and the culprit is found ............ yawn ! |

I wanted to like this show but I only got thru a 1/4 of the first episode and couldn't sit still for it. Just to stupid and poorly acted.
Also @ trolster: very nice rant [the coherent parts]
Sums up the reasons I don't watch any TV series except fringe and breaking bad. |

That and the Documentary, History, Nature and Science style channels... the rest can pretty well go pound sand. |

Got through 2-3 episodes. Too much cheese for me. Nice, original, but aimed @ family viewing slots. Maybe I'll try another episode tonight... maybe. |

personally i liked this show,
yes some of the acting was to be desired and ya it was a bit cheesy but the concept of traveling to the past and trying to survive i liked. This show had potential if the writers could think of a good script-last thing i read was becuase of cost fox dropped it so till further notice i guess we can consider this cancelled?? |

They are looking for another network to air the show on, but yeh, what are the chances of that working out
I watched the whole season over the past two nights, for the first time, and I really did enjoy it. Well, here's to hoping anyways |

TN had all the right things to be great but was essentially little more than an easy way to pass time whilst waiting in an airport or train station.
Avatar bad guy was a wimp whilst police guy was about as cool as barbies boyfriend.
The kids......well. no comment as I do not want to offend.
Dino's yup been there seen that and almost cool but nothing beats two raptors in the kitchen trying to catch you and eat your ass as in jurassic park.
TN nova failed and the reason it failed imo was because they were trying to please everyone...... a sort of I love lucy winner but set in the distant future past with fred flinstone's pets. I started the series and was impressed then sleepy then irritated and finally just gave up at around 1 third of the way.
Pretty much agree with trollster on 99% of his post and as i want to have a laugh and watch something fun i am gonna dig out my "Dad's Army" collection. Only 40 years old by now but they knew how to do comedy. |
