Hi:
I haven't been a member for very long and am learning how to download first and then to upload.
So far, I've tried downloading torrents, but for some reason the movie gets about three quarters the way through then freezes.
Am I doing something wrong, or is it a regular occurence. I've tried several versions of True grit this week, and none of them get to the end.
Any replies will be grateful for. Thanks
Ron |

we need a link to the summary page of one of the files you have tried.we need to know how you are trying to view the file provided you mean you have downloaded it 100% and are trying to watch it.what codec package is installed, what player are you using, does it work correctly on the pc and it's a burnt dvd that doesn't work.
if you mean the download stops around 75% then the link will also tell us if you are trying to get something that's not 100% seeded.
as for the jaybob version it's all there so it's something you are doing.
basically we need more info to be able to help. |

who's phil.your ram if you actually have 32GB would have nothing to do with it for avi.again we need to know what you are using.example players MPC,VLC,GOM and codecs CCCP or something else not as good.
and this is what a link to a summary page would look like
http://isohunt.com/torrent_details/307398909/True+grit?tab=summary
if i had to guess it would be you are using divx and divx player which is a POS. |

Sorry about the name, I'm new to this. You've lost me I'm afraid, all I can tell you is that I download onto a memory stick to play in my dvd player.
Thanks again

there's your problem.some dvd players have a limit to what they can play and jaybob files from other posts here don't seem to work well when trying to play through a flashdrive, something to do with the framerate we think.23 instead of 25 or 30 or something like that, sometimes you just have to burn them.
there's nothing wrong with the files when watched on the pc or burnt to disc with convertxtodvd and a good set of codecs. |

Ah, I see now. I've been wondering why some go the distance and others don't. So I guess it's keep on trying then.
Thanks for the help, I hope you don't mind me asking for your assistance.
