Hi Hunters, I have read on TorrentFreak that IIPA has listed many BitTorrent and cyberlocker services in its latest submission to the USTR. Hong Kong based Megaupload neighbor NO DUMP SITES is listed as an “infringing distribution hub” while Pirate Bay, isoHunt, Demonoid and others get notable mentions.
Canada
According to the IIPA, Canada is “a haven where technologically sophisticated international piracy organizations can operate with virtual impunity in the online marketplace.” This is due, says the group, due to Canada’s reputation for having “weak, ineffective or non-existent” laws to outlaw infringement.
The IIPA notes correctly that Canada plays host to large numbers of BitTorrent sites including perhaps its most famous, isoHunt. The group says that the site has “operated with impunity” for more than 8 years despite being the subject of an injunction issued by a U.S. court. Of course, by definition the U.S. is outside Canadian jurisdiction
Other major torrent sites mentioned as having “Canadian connections” include KickAssTorrents and Torrentz(eu). It’s also noted that many French language torrent sites are operated from Quebec.

What I think is to take a step forward, and to release a torrent containing all magnet links of Isohunt torrents, would be really awesome.
An example of this would be user from TPB 'allisfine' using this PERL Script http://pastebin.com/8RXXthXB if some1 could modify or create a script to do same job with Isohunt.com would be really cool I think.

TPB they have shut down their tracker, so means that TPB only is indexing torrents as IH.
I thought to create magnet links, just in case IH is forced to shut down, so we can still download torrents via magnet links, I dont know If this is old tech or nah, but just it would be better to have IH torrents & magnet links. |

They have shut down that tracker along time ago you can still upload .torrent file to the site then they will delete it after it has 10 seeds..As far as I know they do add a open tracker to the .torrent through a script on its site.. This tracker I think but I'm not sure
| Code: |
| udp://tracker.ccc.de:80/announce |
Pirate bay is not an index site as of yet, people upload to that site and it converts the torrent to a magnet link..Some of my torrents end up on the Pirate bay and I don't upload to that site its some guys editing .torrents an changing the name lol
Lets look at this info hash
| Code: |
| 640fe84c613c17f663551d218689a64e8aebeabe |
A torrent client makes a unique info hash for each .torrent add
this to the front of that info hash
| Code: |
| magnet:?xt=urn:btih: |
and this to the end of it
This will turn that info hash into a magnet link I think torrent are here to stay for a bit because as I said its the files and the torrent client that make the info hash..Until you can upload a magnet link without a .torrents they will probably stay lol.. |

I totally agree with you. I caught this thread whats it been about 2 weeks ago and really didn't snap to the idea. Having just realized the potential today after using the above archive offline. I ran accross this program earlier today making my rounds called "TheLocalBay" and with it you can take the above archive and do a search and open the magnet links and presto your downloading. KAT also has a dailey dump archive of their magnets. Now magnets may be low tech or whatever the case maybe, but they are the smallest way to get all that data together. All of TPB archived into 170MB uncompressed how awsome is that. Now let me stop first and say this is not about any other sites or magnets vs torrents ect, I am just thinking of having the idex of IH available in an offline manner. I thinking takedown proof the torrents
Anyways if ya into checking out what im rambling about here it is.

I prefer torrents.
When you know how you can get much information from a torrent that you can't get out from a link.
A magnet link it's just a link nothing more.
It can't tell you what files are in the torrent till you start download it.
Many fake uploads I find is using the torrent.
Without I'm not able to catch them. |

unless they are doing them differently you can't choose individual files from a release either.you have to load the whole thing in your client and then go to the files tab and change the priority to don't download if all you want is the read me and if there are lots of pieces it can be a pain in the ass. |
