Hi guys,
I've come from another website which could play movies from usb on both bluray player and portable dvd (for little one). But now it's gone under.
I've got Utorrent and I've downloaded a couple of movies. I can play them on my laptop but they're not readable on both Bluray and portable.
I've downloaded DivX and using the converter (Home Theatre 720) but it's taking FOREVER! Then when it did get to 100% a pop up box appeared saying it couldn't complete and I had to end the program.
All files are a mix of MP4 and Avis.
I've read numerous threads and nothing works. (Not a techie either so please post in laymans terms!)
Can anyone please help? |

Dont use DivX for anything unless you bought the retail version from a shop and you can use the box as a paper weight or door stop.
Home Theatre 720 - if its made by sony thats your problem
The movies you downloaded from "the other website" what format are they in ? |

I believe they were mpegs, but they were on a usb key which little one broke. They were downloaded from btjunkie through Utorrent.
Our bluray player won't read the files after downloading from this site. What will help?
I'm completely clueless at this, as I'm sure you can tell! |

You are downloading nothing from this site, you are downloading it from the internets, nothing is on this site except the actual .torrent file which allows you to download the movie.
I need to know what brand of bluray it is, some will play different formats and some wont |

The brand is a Samsung. I've looked up the formats and it says it can play mpegs, divx, etc. Not AVIs tho. |

I'm still really lost on how to convert. I've actually tried the usb key with the "converted" files on a portable dvd player and that's not opening them either!
Can anyone please help? I feel like I'm going round in circles! |

your player plays.. divx..mkv and mp4 and certain dvd disks
also this
The player may not play certain CD-RW/-R and DVD-R due to the disc type or recording conditions.
If a DVD-RW/-R disc has not been recorded properly in DVD video format, it will not be playable.
If contents which are consisting of more than 10 Mbps bit-rate have been recorded in DVD-R, it is not supported.
brides maids is xvid
cop out is xvid
the beaver is xvid
cars 2 is mkv
happy feet2 is xvid
you shouldnt have to convert anything.. just burn the file to the disk or put it on your usb.. you can get up to 6 600+mb .avi files on one dvd
you could also try convertxtodvd

i haven't got the capability of burning disks so prefer to use the usb. Will the player play avis or will I have to convert to xvid?
Any idea why some won't play? I was using bt junkie before they closed it and all the torrents worked perfectly both on th BR and on the portable dvd player for in the car.
I'll have a look at Convertxtodvd. |

Isohunt indexed .torrents from bt junkie as well as other torrent sites so its nothing to do with the site.
The movie files are not stored on isohunt they are on other peoples computers or seedboxes the only thing you get from the site is a .torrent |
