how do i install this game? please help

i downloaded half life eps1.

there is a large list with hl2ep1-dma.r00, .r01, .r03 files and 1 .rar file

i open hl2ep1-dma.rar with winrar

after i opend it there are many maps, but i dont know how to install, i dont see a iso file,

can somebody help me with this?

Read the NFO file which can be opened with Notepad or Damn NFO viewer.

smells like a multi part rar file, use winrar on the .rar to extract and everything else will be built

i extracted the file, then i get diffrent sort of maps but i dont find a .exe file, the info file says:

1. unpack the release with winrar or something else

2. run start.bat

3. enjoy

i dont find anything like start.bat

Yes there will be, look for a little cog icon that ends in .bat

there is no cog icon. i dont find the bat file.
i dont understand why its not there or why i dont find it, i looked in every map of the game but dont find how to install

why don't you use the search function on your PC and type the name of the file. just to be doubly sure if you haven't missed it.

not sure what you mean by maps,a .bat file is just a windows batch file.you double click the downloaded winrar file,click wizard and extract,go to the extracted file and double click the set up (cog looking thing) windows batch file.

an install window should open and follow the prompts.if there are positive comments on the file others had no trouble finding the .bat file so it must be there,but without any kind of link to the summary page or the infohash that's about as much as we can tell you.

i've extracted the file with winrar but than he says: you need to have the following volume to proceed, insert disk.
i dont know what it means but i guess that is the file i had to delete because it was a trojan, this download is garbage or not?

we have absolutely know way of knowing,you have never given a link to the file or the infohash for it.false positives are frequently found in games and we can't talk about cracks/hacks/and keygens here which is what is usually flagged..so yes if it is a legitimate release and you removed something you have made it worthless.

i sounds like trouble, maybe find another link to get it from and get rid of what you already DLed. a .bat file is usually for something other than original software unless its a ^really old^ game

it probably is a rip, if so, if ya open the .bat file instead of running it you should see alot of dos commands moving and replacing files in your existing game install. most people that author cracks will code exe files to do a task rather than a bat Halflife is an older game, i actually have a game dev kit that uses the half life engine code as example to develop game engines
