Me neither, KISS - Keep It Simple Stupid. There are also other ways besides the normal bittorrent clients, the free download manager, ares, Opera, has a client in its browser, if bittorrent clients keep bloating people will use other stuff.

Has anyone had any luck or tried the "stream video" option in the new version of utorrent?

Suppose it could be handy.

Edit- I clicked on it once, but nothing happend lmao.

I like 3.0 and the streaming is working great for new tv epsidoes or new releases that is seeded well. Doesn't support streaming of mkv files, but other wise if your downloading at over 300kbps you should be able to stream movies in the 700mb range faster speeds are needed to stream larger files. I have also found the rating and feedback system is working now which is awsome!

Edit :
After reading back threw this thread, I am wondering if streaming could be detrimental to the swarm. I dont believe it does first and last then random. I think its a straight first to last from what I seen in action. I don't think this has anything to do with the seeding end of the application however. Anyone have any evidence ya or nay on that would be good to know.

I find this one works much better as far as searching for torrent.
About the same speed for me when downloading though...maybe slower?
Tixati is good, too, but I've had problems with newer versions...bugs? Crying or Very sad

This way VLC recognizes an .avi... where as it will not recognize a .!ut

Go to your folder where the .!ut file is, right click and choose open with - VLC Media Player

You will then see a little pop up from VLC saying blah blah file damaged etc and be given 3 options - "Repair", "Do Not Repair" and I think it was "Cancel" for the third option.

Choose Do Not Repair
Worked for me 3 mins ago ... on less than 20 megabytes of a 700 megabytes avi file - with the .!ut extension on it Smile

I just tried the new version, the stream option is fubar for me, however if I right click and open file location when about 1% is done it seems to play file using the gom player

Yep.. that works as well... I just uncheck the append .!ut option. Like I said earlier... the streaming option has really been around since at least the days of v1.8... It just was not integrated into utorrent's GUI like 3.0. And it appears that some people are having issues with 3.0 streaming integration working properly. And the devs over at uTorrent must be swamped with work... because I see very little on their forums solving issues such as this.

i would say the newer the better, but alas 1.8x versions are the only compatible ones i can use seeing how newer versions aren't on toasted spam's list of approved clients. hopefully soon it will be so i can update this muther to the next level.

I have found better speed increases ease of use with utorrent 3 latest build, I has noticed a few of the 2.x versions slowed things down don`t know if it was related to memory allocation or what,

My hard drive crashed so I was forced to install the new 3. whatever version, the only thing so far is that it does not include the same search engines as it used to. It only as 2 and I had more than 12. So my question is can someone tell me where I can find search engines to put in. Since I as not a programmer I would need them wrote out so I could copy and paste them in. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thank You!
