I miss MegaUpload. They were the best. I find so many links to their site and now I'm sad. Crying or Very sad

US prosecutors have said that data belonging to Megaupload users and stored by third parties could be deleted as soon as Thursday.

I hope all those affected get a chance to sue The Us government.

I hope so also james.

I think the manner in which the all data regardless of content has been seized is just way out of order.
They can seize Mr Dotcom and co workers but should leave the servers alone and monitor.
If they have the proof he was breaking the law then the data is not needed. If they assume he broke the law and seize data to prove the fact then he has been found guilty without trial and now try to prove innocence.
The same can be said of the legitimate users.
Basically imo the FBI have decided to take the law into their own hands and everyone is guilty regardless of where they live or any relevant laws that prevail in their own lands.
Countless firms and individuals have had no access to their own data and reading the BBC it is a total mess. FBI stating contact Cogent or Carpathia.
Funny that Carpathia Hosting does not have, and has never had, access to the content on Megaupload servers and has no mechanism for returning any content residing on such servers to Megaupload's customers. ???
I also love the bit about deletion of data will commence the 2nd of Feb but no one except the FBI know anything about the fact.
FBI Federal not IBI international.
Foreign press and bloggers are having a field day.....USA pissing on dead terrorists and now pissing on the world. I have no idea what the backlash of all this will be but it is not good the the USA.
Now I know that the two points have no relationship other than beng connected to the USA but when people on the streets in other lands start making such connections and comments then it is no good for anyone.
I have had local people asking me if the FBI have taken over? who is running america? how can a security office/Bureau do what it wants?
One person even said......wow I thought the KGB were bad !!!
Really i think Obama or his replacement is going to have some serious damage control on their hands.

Yeah, Megaupload was one of the best but this doesn't mean it's all over with file sharing. On the contrary, people are looking for other ways to do that. Goodbye Megaupload, hello new ways of file sharing! And speaking of alternatives, there is this Audials soft which apparently offers a safe way to share files over the internet..If I remember correctly, it is called Audials Anywhere..or something similar. Has anyone else head about it? Don't really know many details on how it workd but I'd be curious to try it out if it turns out to be something really good.
This actually kind of reminds me of PCanywhere actually..but I have patience til I found out more news.
Anyway, since Megauplaod is down, what are you guys usng now?

i never knew what lil' kim looked like. thought he was the tall skinny Kiwi with Emporio Armani spectacles, never expected him to be this fat dude reminiscent of the Star Wars Kid.

Elite special forces - helicopters - tactical weapons - WTF.
Just the manner in which he was arrested is enough for people to ask
"What were they thinking"
And all of this in a land of freedom. New Zealand.
Christ almighty it makes Iraq look like a picknick site if one considers the overkill used in a peaceful not at war suburban township.
