the core of the card (the important pieces parts) come from AMD.then they are sent out to assembler/purchasers/manufacturers/not certain of the right word.

i would go with one that was a recognizable name, sort of when i buy a tv i know that nothing is 100% but i can usually count on a sony.

i like these msi, asus, gigabyte, his they all sounded okay from the posts i've read when looking to buy one.

for mine i have four of these (two each, they are only about 8.5 inches so will fit in a lot of mid-sized boxes) and love them the ones that aren't OC are cheaper

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127566&nm_mc=OTC-Froogle&cm_mmc=OTC-Froogle-_-Video+Cards-_-MSI-_-14127566

the first two i paid around 180US each the last two i paid 150us each and they will play anything.one will get you a 7.8 for the windows index (two is just more but still only 7.8 but does make a big difference in some games.) which doesn't mean a whole lot but gives you an ideas.there are cheaper versions that may be just as good from my reading but those were what i wanted.

Well i saved up and built my own PC instead of upgrading my own.
I wanted it to last 5~ years or more, upgrading a PC may seem cheaper at first but it actually costs more then buying a new one.

To the graphic card some prefer Nvidia and some prefer ATI.

My advice is save up for a new PC after your wedding. Smile

I wish you the best happiness in life.

As i said i got over bored and spended kinda much on this Rig, only missing my SSD now.

Intel Core i7 950 3.01 GHz
ATX Intel X58 (Sabertooth X58)
24 GB DDR3 Ram 1600 MHz
Asus Radeon HD 6950 DirectCU 2x *Cross-Fire*
1000 W PSU Cooler Master Silent Pro
Antec Kuhler H2O 620 CPU liquid cooler
Intel Gigabit 9301CT Desktop Adapter
Chassi Cooler Master HAF X

Costed me around 1500$ and i did get the Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate for free.

As i stated above, save up for a PC you can use long term instead of upgrading the one you have.

For the Graphic card i would pick a HD 6670 because it will deliver a bang for the buck.
