Are the mods really this pissy?

Looking at comments of torrents, I see some people like to write in all caps. now since this is not a discussion just a review of the torrent, why get all mad about all caps?

I know most people think it is like yelling but my ears do not hurt from seeing all caps, ( my eyes also do not hurt ).

I have been using newsgroups and forums for way longer than most on this site ( 30 years going back to the bbs days and beyond ).

I think it is time for people to calm down about all caps and realize it does not hurt anyone when it is a review. I would rather have someone write a review of a torrent in all caps instead of none.

Now maybe we can all grow up, and just let it go when it is a review of a torrent.

30 years and you stiil dont think its not rude or against the etiquette of the net, whats got me is the assumption we made this up or something.

It is like yelling and if you have been using forums as long as you claim then you would know that. There are also studies that show using all caps provokes hostility. Interesting huh?

And you know our users experience levels how? Most of us work jobs, have families and generally are knowledgeable in a lot of areas. You don't get a gold star just for time of arrival just the same as any level of experience does not give you the right to challenge our staff.

I would rather have someone read the rules, notice the part about not using all caps and then think to themselves "Okay, I won't use all caps.." before going to post a review.

Sadly, I'm so effin exhausted I can't give this post more of a workover than Troll or Pac already did.

But seriously though, why be a non-conformist? Only the truly ignorant doesn't get the whole "I'M YELLIN' LIKE A BAWS" is a bad thing. Does it make my ears, eyes, nose, or butt hurt? No. But it's annoying as all hell to see it..

I think i'll just put this here to end it.

In the end it's a dead debate , Some people don't mind it while more people don't like it (been done and it goes nowhere so the lock stands).

Studies show why it is harder to read and it is, Now if you are already a slow reader then it's not going to slow you down while reading it.

It's rude and slows down reading speeds so don't be a dick and type in all CAPS.
