I have recently downloaded Razor 1911's Skyrim torrent and have faced an issue with installation that wasn't mentioned in any of the comments (I went through all 13 pages in vain).
Upon mounting the .iso file and going into the disk, the install.exe file does absolutely nothing. To go on the disk, I have to right click + explore since AutoPlay won't work either, and double clicking on 'install.exe' is as useful as double clicking my wallpaper.
I'm not very technical but I've tried basically everything I could to figure out what is wrong, but so far I've come up with nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Well I followed all steps mentioned to mount, also the F: disk shows the game and the Steam installer works. It's only the 'Install.exe' file that doesn't work. |

Try this -
Download Magic disc (its free)
http://www.magiciso.com/tutorials/miso-magicdisc-overview.htm
When it runs it will be in your task bar where the other little icons are in the bottom right
Click on it and hover over Virtual CD/DVD-ROM
It should say then E: No media (something like that I am going from memory)
Hover over E: No Media and select mount
Browse to your iso file and selct it, a little pop up thing will come up with the option in it to run the autorun .exe |

I tried this but there is no pop up thing with the autorun option... So far I've tried mounting with Daemon Tools, PowerIso and now Magicdisc.. I think the problem is my pc not the mounting tools :/
Thank you for your help though |

If you have done it correctly, click on my computer and where it says local disc C and whatever other drives you have, there also should be DVD drive (E) or some letter anyway, with the game icon next to it. Double click on that.
OR
Go to your iso file and right click on it and an option to extract it with power iso should come up, if not get winrar, it will extract it, then find the set up exe and just install it off that. If none of this works its something on your end. |

I believe that would be MUCH easier than installing this game haha, it's fried my brain before I've even started playing!

Opening the DVD drive is no problem, the only problem is that double clicking the Install.exe does nothing. The Steam setup works no problem but requires an activation code and I read on the comments that it wouldn't work that way anyway. |

I would say your computer doesn't meet minimum system requirements for the executable to terminate like that |

systemrequirementslab is utter rubbish, you need to find out the the specs of your computer and the requirements of the game yourself. Are you using laptop ? |

Hey all,
I managed to run the game by downloading a different torrent. This to be exact:
http://ca.isohunt.com/torrent_details/351608413/skyrim?tab=summary
The graphics are wonderful so far, but my problem is that I have zero audio and no dialogues or anything. Any idea how I can fix that?
--------------EDIT------------------
Fixed by downloading DirectX 10, game is now fully playable and am enjoying every minute of it Guess the problem was the torrent for me.
Thanks,
A |
