Yeah I was looking at the H-series. It's a strong candidate, but there's something in my being to want to choose the hard road. I can see a certain satisfaction to routing your own WC set-up.

Sorry mate but there's no such thing, pure distilled water is not acutally that conductive by itself and this is the primary component in any non conductive coolants. They may add some other junk to make it even less conductive but the short story is when it leaks out and picks up the dust particles on your circuit boards it will short them out. You should only ever be using pure distilled water in your loops as any actually non-conductive liquid's do not have any sort of heat transfer capabilities.

@Monkey of Rage google "liquid cooling leak testing" and you'll find loads of tutorials, there's really not much to it Wink

Duly noted. I'll be sure to add any informative links into the bookmarks folder with the other WC guides. Thank you sir.

Hello there hardware people. Here's my rig...
Case = Coolermaster HAF 932
MB = Asus m4a78t-e
CPU = AMD phenom II X6 Black Edition @3.2 - 4 ghz (hexa core processor)
CPU Cooler = Coolermaster V8 (awesome, massive cooler)
SSD = OCZ Vertex 120 GB
HDD = Various large storage HD's
GPU = XFX Radeon HD 6970 (Would like one more of these but not necessary)
PSU = Corsair 850 Watt
RAM = Corsair Vengeance 16 GB @ 1600 Mhz (4 gb X 4)

I can run modern titles with everything maxxed out, very fun to play with. I use a 43 " plasma by Samsung as my monitor, which hasn't always been easy but I've managed to find my way around most issues. If anyone else is using a similar display and has any information that may be useful I'd love to hear from you, maybe learn something new. Likewise if you have any questions about any of the hardware I'm using I would be happy to try to answer! Happy gaming to everyone!!!

this is the rig "hardware" as it stand now

Case Cooler Master HAF X
PSU OCZ ZX 1000W
Motherboard Sabertooth x79
CPU Intel i7 3930k 3.2 - 3.9GHz Turbo Boost LGA 2011
CPU Cooler Antec Kuhler H20 920
Ram G.Skill Ripjaws Z X79 Quad Channel DDR3 2133

Hard Drives
SSD OCZ Agility-3 90GB
HDD Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 1Tb 32 Mb cache

GFX Leadtek GTX 580 3G
Audio onboard
OS Windows 7 Professional 64bit
Keyboard Microsoft Sidewinder X6
Mouse Microsoft Sidewinder X8
Monitor AOC E2795Vh 27" LED HDMI

currently have it overclocked @ 5.02 Ghz and pretty stable.

Image

in my hurry to brake the 5 Ghz mark I jumped from my 4.8 step a little soon before getting stability sorted properly.
but it's all good, next is the ram to get clocked.
from what I read I should have started with the ram anyway so I'll sort cpu stability later.
I guess it's back to BIOS to set defaults and get reacquainted with the Del and reset buttons
