Well right now I am reading a webpage. And a delightful page it is, filled with interesting books and ideas.
I enjoy reading A Separate Peace by John Knowles as well though.

I’m reading Wheat Belly, Lose the Wheat, Lose the Weight and Find Your Way Back to Health, by William Davis, MD. It’s pretty sad what has been done to wheat varieties, it’s a good go along with Folks, this Ain’t Normal… |

The Crippled God
by
Steven Erikson
Finished Steven Erikson's Malazan Book of the Fallen series. What a finish! Possibly the greatest series I have ever read. THe characters are just amazing. Truly mindblowing! Sad thats ive finished reading this series really. Gonna start on Ian C. Esslemont's accompanying novels soon which are set in same world.
In the meantime i have gone back to Abercrombie's First Law Trilogy. Enjoying it, but its hard to adjust after spending so long with Eriksons epic series.

Jim Butcher
Recently started on Jim Butchers 'The Dresden Files' series. Above is the second book in series which im nearly finished. Basically about a sort of wizard working with the police in Chicago, and has vampires werewolves and so on. Its something a bit different than im used to, and not generally into this, but enjoying the more i read. |

Well for book reading i did read through the Hunger games series......a fun read but somewhat pretentious. Reminded me of a hundred other books by other authors and in many respects nothing truly new to be found.
The manner in which the author is portrayed as having studied the social impacts of war etc just do not cut it......this is not a Robert A. Heinlein type study.
Its basically easy reading but imo not worth the trouble unless your a fast reader and can get through the books in a day or two.......if it takes you a week or so..........your wasting your time.
And I am sure that there will be a follow up book as the final chapter ended as a cheap B Movie........sudden with no real tie up of lose ends and only leaves a shitload of questions.......none of them even important just irritating. Basically your left with a WTF did I waste my time reading this for ?
Anyways......to cheer myself up after having read the above I went back into history and re read the "Ship who Sang"......again a rather simple but quite thought provoking and enjoyable read by an author no longer with us. |

Which just reminds me.... How's the Zombie Apocalypse going so far..? Anyone craving brains yet..? Not that there are many brains to be found on the interwebz... |
