I kind of excited to see where this is going. Of course I'm bummed to see some of the better BT sites gone. But this will force the next evolution in p2p software development. That will be exciting!
I don't blame the MPAA for protecting their interests. I'm doing exactly the same thing as them. They want to hold onto every scrap of money they can. So do I. That's why I download Ocean's 12 instead of going to the theater. That's also why they want to make it difficult for me to do so. God bless 'em. I'll just jump to the next BT site until a more MPAA-resistant p2p technology is developed.
It'll be another 5-7 years before they finally realize that it costs more to keep fighting every new technology instead of embracing it. They'll finally allow movies to be downloaded and then maybe instead of downloading it illegally I'll get the new release of Ocean's 14 from walmart.com for $2.88.
Never underestimate the resourcefulness of people wanting to save a buck...
Exactly. It just doesn't make sense to keep suing customers with new techs, when you can use that same tech to lower your costs and expand your market.
I'm going to make a site to advocate and facilitate this. Think iTunes for any files.

I am getting fed up with all this witch hunting. For umpteen numbers of years we consumers have been cheated over and over again by thse rich b*strds. Even now we are still being controlled and lorded over by groups like MP**.
First we had commercials on TV which we had no defence against.
Then we had albums with one good song and the rest all shyt filler songs.
Over priced albums..movies...u name it. We are always cheated..even software we ge cheated on with quality and price.
And they wonder why we create P2P and Torrent etc. Quit fking cheating us and we might not.
Even now we have dam pop-ups and pop-unders and spam all created by rich b*strds.
They keepy trying to control everything.
What is needed is a site that isnt in a country that will kiss america's arse. A country where america cant force people to get arrested for sharing.
lol you have to laugh at these guys who think they can stop us mhahahahaha
technology will always evolve to get around people like this another funny thing is that the big movie producers should jump aboard and chrage people £2, $4 per month on their websites to download their movies then their would be no trouble
The message they're sending ME indicates that they don't want us to watch their shows. I started downloading TV shows recently, because my schedule doesn't allow time for me to SIT and watch them in prime time like a normal human being. How is me downloading a TV show over bittorrent any different than me having a friend tape it? I could still fast forward through the advertisements (I HATE commercials), watch it whenever I want, and share it with other friends.
Why do they stifle the technology that's letting more and more people watch their stuff on COMMERCIAL TELEVISION?
I'm sick and tired of the corporate machine trying to tell us what not to do.
