magnet links

is there a way to show the files of a magnet link before dloading in utorrent? the best i can find is waiting for the metadata to come down (this can sometimes take ages) then select torrent>files tab>select/deselect. bit long winded. does anyone know of a quicker way?

Best way to speed them up is add a known tracker. I got a list of 20 or so trackers that I copy and paste in an usually will score a couple hits. But to answer your question you unfortunately cant select files until after it has the torrent.

No this one of the downfalls in magnet links

It might get fixed in the future other things you can do is on utorrent go to files and click on the files you don't want to download like you have been doing
