i have been thinking of up dating my computer but the problem is there is to much choice for frig sake .
looking at :
4G ram plus,average 1T mem and something that will play good graphics H.D. with stable game play .
price range around £500-£600

also i have a choice to build one from scratch do's any one have any ideas please????????[/img]

I would recommend at least 8GB ram, intel have took the market with their i5 and i7 quad cores. As for motherboard...I like my Asus but I'm sure others will be along with different opions...

i paid slightly over 1000US to make this,you could find cheaper alternatives.

it will play everything at at least high,but i'm not all that big of a gamer..plays skyrim with the texture pack at ultra on a 40" 1080p.

if it ain't broke don't fix it, i am jealous of many of IH, they got good rigs - mine is a bit dated but it does what i want it to most of the time
so if you've got extra cash - and are feeling some anger towards said puter - then yes upgrade - else - if it's ok, not like O.K. but getting along and doing it's thing rightly, then buy other stuffs man
even though i've been contemplating upgrading my rig too, it's just that cash is not that readily available to me... spend it if you got it

looks the bizz , you have gave me that buzzing feeling again ill let ya know what the future brings meaning a fresh build looks like the only way .

the 8GB was in my mind but i have thought and a fresh build looks like the only way for now many thanks for the info .

when you pick a video card the ATI vs nVidia debate is never an easy pick. ATI tends to have better numbers on their cards, but similar nVidia cards with worse hardware have similar benchmarks, i've heard that they have better software. mainly you need one that meats your price range. and if you decide to go with SLI or CrossFire be sire your Motherboard is compatible.
