Opeth - Heritage

Not sure how many metal heads lurking round here, but..

So Opeth has released a new release, and its a little different. No death growls, no death metal at all; something closer to King Crimson than Napalm Death. Its guaranteed to polarise the fan base. I for one love it, since i love old 70s prog, and it still is unquestionably Opeth, very dark and moody.

I'm not really a fan of this Opeth band you speak of, but then again I am very selective over my music. I could listen to a band like Arch Enemy for an hour yet I can't stand slipknot or A7X, I guess I'm just weird.

I would also like to get a turntable and build up a vinyl collection too but I really can't see it happening any time soon. Rolling Eyes

I am a fan of Opeth.

One of my favorite songs is Black Rose Immortal which is over 20 minutes long. It incorporates both the heavy and lighter sides of Opeth throughout.
