No need to be doubtful about it. The spectrum of ideas on this forum can go from very hight to very low, very left to very right, and a lot from the void.

According to the often-refeenced Wikipedia, Tremulous has been voted "Player's Choice Standalone Game of the Year" in Mod Database's "Mod of the Year" 2006 competition AND has some elements of real time strategy.

Apparently you have to build a base, select buildings to add to the base and where they go, have to make decisions with a budget of 'buiding points,' (on most servers)...and even if unlimited have to decide which ones to build next.and have to kill a lot of enemy, have different weapons available to use, even a nuke-like one.

Well...that sounds like war. Which is mainly firepower and not Too Much thought.

Sounds 'strategic' enough for me.

splinter cell without a doubt. its good because its not a sorta game where it cant be finished quickly. Age of empires 2 was a good game too. honestly, ive never finished a round of age of empires 2 without cheating. pathetic i know. well go ahead. let me hear the " all game cheats are evil" rant.

I (and other Mods) like playing hunt the asshole. You are my second catch of the day. I think that spotting fake uploaders counts as a strategy game. Wink

Starcraft/Warcraft and the Command & Conquer series. I played the original Red Alert for who knows how long after it became a classic. Razz Still would, too.

I've heard a lot about Supreme Commander, but I haven't had time to buy and play a lot of new games lately. Sad Much less the required video card power. Laughing

[EDIT] Almost forgot the Age of Empires series. Also great games.

The only thing I have against the first RA is that your units have poor ass AI. Rolling Eyes I loved Yuri's Revenge, would set it so all my enemies did was send Kirovs at me.
