Thanks for reviving this thread, too bad you pinged someone's radar.
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.
Tried to install the new Windows 8 release preview but unfortunatly I am running a tight spaced SSD so I could not figure out how to free up 20 GB without comprimising my current OS. In short I will not be able to make the jump to Windows 8 until I get a bigger SSD or until I am ready to change to the the new OS on a fresh install......Or both. |

Been there....done that. It was way more work than it was worth to me.
All hail the mighty William. |

I use a combination of XP, Win7 home/Pro, windows server 2008, ubuntu 10.04 server, 11.10 desktop and 12.04 desktop, Suse, win CE, DOS, various embedded firmwares. Ya, i use em all regularly
My Fav is ubuntu 12.04, on home PC it runs 90% of the time, only boot win 7 pro when i want to game, now that summers here i dont game really, so it pretty much stays on ubuntu. My laptop prob sees a pretty even split of 7 home premium and ubuntu 11.10. Work desktop is 100% win7 pro, work servers are 100% ubuntu 10,04 and 100% server 2008. |
