Downloading Problems

I cannot seem to figure out at all how to download anything. I've followed all the set up directions in the Utorrent setup post, and whenever i try the link for a specific download, Utorrent says that it is not correct bencoding. I've looked through the forums and cant really find anything that helps with this problem. Don't really understand how to download anything right now. Last p2p program i used was Limewire way back when. This is completely different so i am at a loss. Any information would be appriciated.

hrmmmm

so utorrent is up and running fine.

then you go to.... a page like this: this is ebooks for example

http://ca.isohunt.com/torrent_details/218536057/ebooks?tab=summary

hit download torrent, it opens, run it with utorrent and the download should start up in utorrent

Well thats what should happen in theory.... unless there is a bigger problem

Thanks much. The link wasn't working properly because i had not restarted PC after installing Utorrent. I feel kinda dumb now though haha.

Bah, what is a CBR file? I have a vague notion that its probably a type of compression but im not sure. Never seen it before, only Rar and Winzip/Zip7

Basically, .cbr and .cbz files are simply RAR or ZIP files that have been renamed. If you want, you can rename them to .rar or .zip and extract I think. Its for comic books right? I think you could also find a reader for it on google for free.

mostly I just download .avi or .mkv files and play them on vlc

Yea they are comics that im downloading. So i just rename .zip etc and ill be able to extract it?
