depends on the movie, although i dont think they should be removed for the sake of little kids, but i dont think they should be watching it... this is where parenting comes in... government control shouldnt be substituting for parental control... parents should be keeping an eye on what there kids are getting into... |

at the end of the day Sex is completely natural, the idea mature films (and i mean anything not for children) should be censored is ridiculous ....
lol its like saying the Film Basic Instinct should have all sex, drugs and violence removed in case a child watches it.. what are you left with... a 20 minute dialogue with lots of *bleeps!*
Kids have childrens films, Adults have adult films with grown up themes.. thats why there are rating systems lol |

Like metioned above sex in movies is not porn. Most of the time in a movie the sex has meaning to further the story. They already have a rating system for movie and television. To cut scenes from a movie is wrong.

Kids shouldn't be watching adult themed movies to start with. As said above that is why there is a rating system.

It does seem unfair to you or I, but I think it comes down to movie stars are seen as role models and kids will follow what they do. |

i think there is too much sex in some movies,and its there to try and sell the movie.
watched a movie about cynthia pain,a prostitute in london called miss whiplash,and there was very little if any grafic sex scenes,but still enjoyed the movie.
its better to leave to the imagination of the audiance what happens in a sex scene,rather than stopping the plot to show people cavorting around.
im not against porn,i love it,but you dont exactly have a storyline or a plot to worry about. |

I actually do agree with this to some extent. While it's totally stupid, "imo," that actors are today's role models, it's true. I don't see the harm in them taking more responsibility for that role. Besides, wtf does it matter to me if they change the ratings? =P
Anyway, on the topic, I seriously got nothing against porn as porn. But gratuitous sex scenes in movies just because they can, though it lends nothing to the plot? Pfft. Just weakens the movie overall for me. |

Personally I think explicit scenes aren't necessary in movies. If you want porn the internet is full of it. I've nothing against nudity in a movie because that is just part of life.
Vut Movies have boy sees girl goes to bed with girl ( takes 5 min of movie time) the sex time ( takes 20 to 30 min of movie time)
That is unecessary. And Everyone wonders whay there are so many STDS,Aids and teen pregnancies. well there is your reason! |

I can't speak for the topic poster but I think that this debate was improperly titled because I never seen a movie with porn in it. I think that it should be more along the lines of sex scenes in movies.

What movies are you watching no seriously, If you saw 20 to 30 minutes of movie sex you might have forgot that what you had in the DVD player wasn't a "movie". Movie sex scenes only last about a minute to a minute 30 seconds.

I've never seen someone get pregnant from a movie. It I had to come up with a reason why teens have sex I would say misinformation and HORMONES not Monster's Ball. |

While, yeah, no one's getting pregnant from watching sex scenes, unnecessary and explicit sex in movies and tv definitely do add to the idea that sex is no big deal, that it's just a casual thing; "everybody's doing it." I think that mentality actually can have an impact on teens. |
