I don't believe people who claim such high numbers. They must be using something different than a normal connection.

i will take some screenshots tonights, last night i was getting speeds in excess of 400kb/s-550kb/s consistently... and that was only downloading two torrents, although they were heavily seeded...

heres my speedtest results:

Oi !!! I don't see anyting wrong With Bit lord its a lot better using the older version than the new bitlord as its full of advertising at the beginning and every time you load it up with ebay or somthing stupid

I have currently a 4Mbps Connection from Virgin Media Known as NTL to all you old school ravers - for Example dowloading a movie with 7 seeders i get about 150 Kbs download speed

Considering i upload at No Limit overnight Razz During the day i set this to around 15kbs limit Rolling Eyes

Next month I'm gonna have a go at 20Mbps Upgrade with virgin

Using Bitlord, my dl's are averaging 20 kbps, at most 50kbps, but usually under 10. I am running a fast machine, and my internet connection is 5MBps cable modem. Are there any approaches to reach MBps downloads using my current torrent client, Bitlord, or should I switch to a different client? Are there any changes I need to make to my Internet properties or system properties? Any help much needed.

I have used Bittorrent, i used it at the very beginning and found that it was not really what i was looking for in a client. But then i was introduced to Utorrent and we have had a very good relationship since.

I D/L at anything from 20kbs to 2meg. Now that also depends on the peering arrangements as well. If there are a lot of peers then it is no problem getting the high D/L rates. I also upload consistently at 1 to 4 meg on my laptop and anything from 2 to 7 on my desktop.

Share and share alike makes P2P a great place to be!

With my internet speed being:

Note: µtorrent speeds are measured in MB Mega Bytes, While internet speed are measured in mb mega bits. 8 mega bits = 1 Mega Byte
