I'm guessing rock is including all the Sub-Genres. Whats surprising to see is that Rock is currently the popular vote. I've been reading that the market for Rock music has been slowly dying when compared to the booming markets of R&B and Rap (Not so much of a fan of either of these but I have a few favorites.)

That said - I've been a Rock fan since I was a kid and will until the day I die.

there are quite a few good lacking genres, like hardcore for example. also, although indie was not originally meant to be a genre, it is also one with many fans. both of these genres i am more fond of than any of those mentioned in the poll.
