Looks like you're talking about data from the poll options, but this is in the music forum so I'll answer for both criteria. I use Alcohol 120% for data/isos and my pirate copy of Winamp Pro 5.31 to rip music in mp3/ogg/flac.

EAC for ripping. Its the only proper cd ripper. See Hydrogenaudio for setings. And dbPowerAmp for all other tasks.

Well its also a fantastic ripper when using the AccurateRip plugin, but I mean for converting to and from those obscure formats you might come across from time to time, like wavepack lossless. The list of plugins extends to just about every format out there (and are free). Add to that the tag edit added to the right click context menu and the extended popup info on mouse over and its pretty much hard to beat. An essential peice of software IMO. As is ID3-TagIT 3 a free program. Just google it.

Another vote to EAC, though I use CDex instead 'cause it's either user friendly and very reliable.

Not sure why you would put Nero in the options, its not very good at "ripping" anything that has protection.

Anyway my vote goes for Alcoholsoft 120%.

To me DVD Fab Platinium is very good ripper.

I use it very often and till now I do not have any problems rip any DVD.

I do not have opportunity to test it on original games disk but there is better soft for that - Game Jackal

If you're serious about ripping (not using 128kbps mp3s) then EAC cannot be beaten. Otherwise it really doesn't matter.
