So there's supposed to be an announcement from EA by July at the latest reguarding Need For Speed 12. After the epic failure that was ProStreet, the latest installment in the NFS should be returning to open world gameplay and a see a return to running from the pigs, always good for a laugh.
There is however one thing in particular I would like to see introduced into the new NFS game. Gas. Simple as that. You race mofo's, and you have to spend some of your ill gotten gains keeping your heap of shit on the road. Run out of gas being chased by the pigs? Tough Shit. Run out of gas in the middle of a race? Tough shit. Your cheap ass should have taken a trip to the gas station before you started.
I mean serously. You spend a few grand for a Porsche Carrera GT only to be able to drive around like the thing runs on fresh air. A little realism wouldn't go amiss. Add to that the 'pay for damage' element from ProStreet, and you have yourself the makings of a fairly interesting game.
What elements would you like to see introduced into the new need for speed and why? |

I like the gas idea
OG
and leaving the damage and repair with tire wear also so you can get a blowout from something other than the good old spike strips. If they don't bring back getting chased by the pig's and open world game play I wont buy it. I hated Pro Street what a f**kin waste of money actually I gave the thing away. I still play Most Wanted I think it's the best one of them all. |

I think electric cars are best left to something like The Sims 3. Perishable parts is a must. Like tires. They shouldnt last forever, especialy if you're thrashing round corners at 100mph. |

More exotics. I want to see at least a
Bugatti Veyron
a Ferrari (any newer model should do) and a
Dodge Viper.
I agree with
already_dead.
Pro Street was a total blow-out. |

I doubt there will ever be any Ferrari in a NFS game ever again. The folks over there in Maranello are so far up their own arse its not even funny, and you'd probably have a better chance finding one of their prototypes in a box of corn flakes than getting a licence to put their 'works of art' in a NFS title. Not that they haven't been in recent games, but they're just picky bastards about who they let do it. |

Yeah, I'm down with more exotics myself.
The Tesla would be a nice one, fill that request for electric cars too.. |

well considering that the dodge viper is actually considered an american muscle, you may be looking at the wrong end of the boards there buddy.
but more exotics would be nice, maybe the new shelby gt 500 or the new camaro concept that was in transformers as well. |

more customization options would be a plus too. bring back some of the things from underground 2. like neon lights or scissor doors.
oo theres another idea, they should add an actual clock. so that way there could be night tourneys and stuff in the campaign to earn a little extra cash or something like that.
i can see it now.... early morning sunshine breaking the rooftops and reflecting off the morning dew. the rumble of engines in the distance, police sirens too. and me flying 100mph down the freeway. haha that would be awesome. |

Well you got me there, i didn't know that.
However it looks more like an exotic to me than a muscle car. |

this is true, it does look the part
actually in carbon they had an "exotic" version of the car. the muscle had great acceleration but not very good handling. the exotic had good everything. fitting the trend with most of the other exotics. |

Closest thing America ever produced that could be considered an exotic was the
Vector
, shame it was a piece of shit. |

Yeah more customization is needed. They have not given us enough visual. Prostreet only gave color, number stickers and wheel customization but Carbon: Own The City had chasis, spoiler and more.
More customization is definitlly something EA shud look into |
